Relationship Wreckers - Pastor Greg Clark

Anger, lust, and divorce are not random struggles. They are targeted attacks on the relationships God designed for our good. Jesus raised the standard in the Sermon on the Mount, making clear that the problem begins in the heart long before it shows up in behavior. Unresolved anger rots us from the inside out, lust is a perversion of God's design for intimacy, and divorce carries a weight that many people were never meant to carry alone. But no one is beyond forgiveness. Romans 8:1 reminds us there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and God's grace is available to anyone who brings their failures honestly before Him. The power to overcome these struggles does not come from trying harder. It comes from crying out to God and relying on the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, who lives in every believer.

Learn more about Cedar Crest Baptist Church: www.ccbchurch.org

What Jesus Really Said About Anger - Pastor Austin Prince

Anger is something most of us downplay, calling it frustration or irritation rather than what it really is. In Matthew 5, Jesus raises the standard far beyond outward behavior and goes straight to the heart. He connects anger to murder not to minimize one but to show that both begin in the same place. Every person is made in the image of God, and treating someone as worthless is an offense against their Creator. The answer Jesus gives is not self-control alone but reconciliation. Closing the gap between hurt and repair is not weakness. It is obedience, and it is the very thing that disarms the anger that takes root in our hearts.

www.ccbchurch.org

Will You Choose Fear or Faith? - Pastor Lynn Wilson

The story of the twelve spies in Numbers 13 presents one of the clearest pictures in Scripture of the choice between fear and faith. Ten spies returned with a report rooted in fear, while Joshua and Caleb returned with a report rooted in trust in God. The ten disregarded God's goodness, doubted His greatness, disobeyed His Word, and ultimately disqualified themselves from the blessing He had promised. Joshua and Caleb, by contrast, believed God was both good and capable, obeyed His instructions, and eventually experienced the fullness of what He had promised. Their example challenges us to examine where our own trust truly lies when hard circumstances arise. The choice between fear and faith is made one decision at a time.

Learn more about Cedar Crest: ccbchurch.org
