How to Keep Faith When Life is Unfair // July 26th // Reed DeVries
<p>What do we do when life feels deeply unfair? When we watch people who seem to ignore God thrive while we struggle despite our best efforts to live faithfully? Psalm 73 pulls back the curtain on one of the most honest and relatable spiritual crises in all of Scripture. Written by Asaph, a worship leader of Israel, this psalm does not sanitize the raw tension between what we know to be true about God and what we feel in the middle of hard circumstances. The central insight is both simple and profound: while life is not always fair, God is always good, period. Not a question mark, a period. The journey Asaph takes us on moves from envy and confusion to a place of deep intimacy with God, and the turning point is not a change in circumstances but a change in perspective. When he enters the sanctuary, everything shifts. Worship has that power. It does not always change what is around us, but it changes how we see it. Where Am I Looking? // July 19th // Noah Rollins
<p>In times of uncertainty, we often find ourselves scanning the horizon for solutions, our eyes darting between bank accounts, relationships, medical reports, and countless other potential fixes. But Psalm 121 invites us into a radically different posture: lifting our eyes upward before looking around. This ancient song of ascent, sung by travelers on dangerous roads to Jerusalem, speaks directly to our modern journeys through difficulty and doubt. The psalmist acknowledges the mountains ahead, the real obstacles and struggles we face, but refuses to let them become the final word. Instead, we're challenged to compare our mountains not to ourselves, but to the God who made heaven and earth. This isn't about denying reality or pretending everything is fine. Rather, it's about reordering our responses so that God becomes our first resource, not our last resort. The promise isn't that the road becomes smooth, but that we never walk it alone. God doesn't slumber, doesn't grow weary, and stands as our shade in the scorching heat of life's hardest moments. When we grasp that our help comes from the Creator of all things, we discover that nothing in heaven or earth exists outside His authority. This shifts everything: our anxiety, our perspective, our ability to keep moving forward when we don't know what's next.</p>

I Messed Up. Now What? // July 12th // Noah Rollins
<p>We all have moments when we try to hide from God, covering up our failures behind busyness, success, or carefully crafted images of who we want others to think we are. This message takes us deep into Psalm 51, David's raw prayer of repentance after his gravest sin with Bathsheba. What makes this psalm so powerful is that it reveals the heart of a man who stopped hiding and started healing. David wasn't called a man after God's own heart because he was perfect—far from it.
