Text: Revelation 2:8-11
The church at Smyrna was suffering; and while the letter Jesus sends them doesn't promise immediate relief, it does give them four reasons to hold on: God knows what they are suffering, God has a purpose for it, God has set a limit on it, and God has a reward waiting for them on the other side. As we sit with those same four reasons today, Jesus' two commands to the Smyrnans still apply to anyone in a hard season: do not be afraid, and be faithful.

That Loving Feeling (Radically Recentered 1.3)
Date: September 27, 2026
Text: Revelation 2:1-7
The church at Ephesus was doctrinally sound, hard-working,and perseverant – and Jesus still had a serious problem with them: they had forsaken their first love, going through all the right motions but losing the genuine devotion that once droveeverything they did. In this message we look at what that drift looks like, why it happens so gradually and invisibly, and what Jesus' three-part prescription for restoration actually looks like in practice.

Among the Lampstands (Radically Recentered 1.2)
Date: September 20, 2026
Text: Revelation 1:9-20
The apostle John – exiled on Patmos, his ministry apparently curtailed – receives an overwhelming vision of the risen Jesus: glorious, all-seeing, holding the keys of Death and Hades, and standing in the midst of his churches. The primary message for John, for the seven churches facing their own pressures and difficulties, and for us, is the same: Jesus is not watching from a distance, but present with us: comforting us, holding us, and commissioning us to shine his light even in the hardest of seasons.
