Ownership Isn’t the Highest Calling — Stewardship Is
Ownership asks, ‘What can I get from this?’ Stewardship asks, ‘What is this for, and who am I becoming while I carry it? We celebrate ownership in business. Own the outcome. Own the relationship. Own your mistakes. Own the company. Responsibility is good. But I’m becoming convinced that ownership isn’t the highest biblical category. Stewardship is. Ownership says, “This belongs to me.” Stewardship says, “This belongs to God, and I’m responsible for what happens while it’s in my hands.” That distinction changes how I think about Arrington Media, creativity, leadership, money, family, ambition, success, and even failure. In this episode, I wrestle with questions like: • Am I building something successful while damaging the people around me? • Am I using the gifts God entrusted to me—or burying them out of fear? • Can I care about measurable results without allowing results to define my identity? • Am I asking for more authority before faithfully carrying the authority I already have? • What would change if I truly believed God owns it and I simply manage it? I also reflect on Patrick Lencioni’s idea from The Motive that leadership is fundamentally about accepting responsibility, and why “Lord willing” doesn’t mean passive planning—it means recognizing that our plans are not sovereign. The question I’m trying to live under is no longer: “How much can I own?” It’s: “How faithful can I become with what God has already entrusted to me?” God owns it. I manage it. And one day, I’ll answer for how I carried it.

Investing in Business Growth: Where to Spend $100,000
The $100,000 Question: Where Would You Invest It in Your Business? The script challenges business owners to answer where they would deploy $100,000 over 12 months to materially increase business value, and what evidence supports that choice, warning that capital can accelerate existing mistakes. The speaker describes shifting from filmmaking to focusing on business growth, learning an investor framework of niche, experience, and proprietary deal flow: knowing what you have a right to win at, what the business has proven works, and what unique opportunities flow to you through trust-based access. A fourth factor is the owner, since founder constraints like refusal to delegate or misaligned goals can block growth. The script emphasizes finding the true constraint across demand, sales, delivery, retention, and referrals, then using small experiments to test hypotheses (“test it, prove it, scale it”) before scaling spending, and proposes turning this approach into a show that makes one real bet and measures results. 00:00 The $100K Challenge 01:07 From Filmmaker to Growth 02:12 Three Investor Lenses 02:54 Niche and Positioning 04:01 Experience and Proof 05:19 Proprietary Deal Flow 06:32 The Founder Constraint 07:46 Find the Bottleneck 08:42 Test Prove Scale 09:56 Turning It Into a Show 11:57 Do This Today 12:39 Final Questions and Close

The Meaning Economy -> How to Use AI Without Losing Your Humanity
AI can help you research, write, design, code, analyze, and create faster than ever. But faster doesn’t automatically mean better. In this episode, I unpack a simple framework I’ve started using to keep AI from creating more complexity, more information, and more mediocre work: Human → AI → Human. The human starts the work with purpose, intent, taste, and judgment. AI accelerates the work through research, analysis, generation, and iteration. Then a human finishes the work by deciding what is true, useful, meaningful, and actually worth putting their name on. I also explore why the abundance of AI-generated content may make judgment, taste, trust, experience, and meaning increasingly valuable—and why the real opportunity of artificial intelligence may not be becoming more productive, but becoming more human. If you use AI to create, lead, build a business, or make decisions, this is the framework I think is worth remembering: Start human. Use the machine. End human.

A Photo Couldn't Have Captured This
I used to think photographs were the best way to preserve a moment. Then my journal captured something a camera never could. In this episode, I share a deeply personal story about grief, my mom, my wife Nico, and a drawing that helped me understand what I was feeling. It’s a reflection on journaling, memory, marriage, faith, and the difference between documenting a moment and recognizing what it meant. Sometimes a camera shows you where you were. A journal helps you understand why it mattered.

Two Skills That Make You Valuable Anywhere
Summary: Learn to speak publicly and write clearly. These two skills help you connect with people, communicate value, transfer knowledge, and create opportunities in almost any industry. Description: If you want to become more valuable in any industry, develop two foundational skills: Speak publicly and write clearly. Speaking helps you connect with people. Writing helps you clarify value, document best practices, and transform what you know into systems other people can use. Those systems can build wealth, create opportunities, and allow responsibility to be entrusted to others. But professional value is not the only kind that matters. When it comes to family, the essential practice is much simpler: Show up—and then keep showing up. In this short field note, I reflect on communication, multiplication, and the irreplaceable value of presence. Reflection questions: Can you explain the value you create clearly? What knowledge have you learned but not yet documented? Where does someone in your life need your consistent presence?

The three forces shaping how I live and work
Summary: Faith gives us the confidence to take the next step. Creativity helps us carve a new path. Business turns what we discover into something valuable. Description: Faith, creativity, and business fuel nearly every part of my life—but they each serve a different purpose. Faith is trusting God’s providence, stewarding what He has given me, and allowing the journey to shape my character. Creativity is entering chaos or complexity and finding clarity, connection, and possibility. Business is turning complicated problems into clear, actionable solutions—and making those solutions valuable and accessible to others. In this short field note, I share how these three forces work together and invite you to consider what each one looks like in your own life. Reflection questions: What is the next step faith is asking you to take? Where could creativity help you carve a new path? What valuable solution could your business make accessible to others? Why I Stopped Reaching for My Phone (And What I Found Instead)
I removed every app from my phone and replaced them with a single question: "Why did I pick up my phone?" What I expected to find was distraction. What I actually found was a classification crisis. When I looked at my list—46 legitimate reasons across business, family, faith, and life—I realized the real problem. The best systems don't make you faster. They help you see which territory you're actually in. This is the episode that started everything. Chase describes an experiment that changed how he thinks about productivity: he removed all apps from his iPhone home screen and added a Notes widget asking, “Why did I pick up my phone?”, then wrote down the reason before opening any app via search. He expected to uncover distraction but instead found most pickups were purposeful (calls, email, bills, research), yet attention-grabbing apps still derailed him and he often forgot his original intent. He concludes the issue isn’t phone addiction but the phone becoming an “external brain” for remembering, learning, managing, and executing, with too many open loops. He recommends building systems that protect deeper thinking—journaling, voice memos with transcription, AI tools like NotebookLM, and task systems like Jira—then reviewing patterns to automate, delegate, or eliminate. He closes by sharing his work and resources at chasearrington.com and Arrington Media services.

Clarity Over Flash: The Boring Truth About Health, Wealth & Relationships
Chase Arrington explains why “boring” is powerful, arguing that the podcast exists to remind listeners of truths they already know rather than offer new hacks. He emphasizes that clarity beats flash in messaging and in life, and that results come from consistent execution of simple fundamentals. For health, he says weight loss comes down to eating in a caloric deficit, tracking intake, and exercising to build muscle and strengthen the heart. For wealth, he recommends distinguishing assets from liabilities, spending less than you earn, avoiding spending beyond what’s in your account, and eliminating debt—especially consumer debt and interest on depreciating purchases. For relationships, he highlights three core relationships—God, self, and others—citing Proverbs 3:5–6 and encouraging daily reorientation to truth over comfort. 00:00 Intro 01:17 Health 02:04 Wealth 02:57 Relationships 04:02 Outro
