S6 Ep80: Hayden Grove: Care about Details & Mental Health; Michael Bublé Influence; Season 27 of "The Voice"

"It's important to care about the details... Care about everything," Hayden Grove, the beloved Cleveland Jazz, rat-pack-style singer contends on episode 80 of Chats with Clark. Grove, who is a steadfast Clevelander, has been singing since he was a child, when his dad would rattle off songs for Hayden to sing.

Growing up in a household that adored music, Hayden had been surrounded by an appreciation for it. Through the years, he took lessons and found that his voice developed towards a sound of the idols before him: Sinatra, Armstrong, Bublé, his own father, and more.

After college, he erupted on the journalism scene, covering highlights of Cleveland sports, like the Cavs championship season, Browns playoffs, and the then-Indians World Series battle. With such success and great opportunities early on, Hayden felt that he had done all he had wanted to do in the sports world and took a chance on himself, on the music.

While singing with local pianist Mike Patrone in Cleveland, Hayden started consistently posting social media videos of him singing. Each video seemed better than the next, and eventually, Hayden garnered the attention of Michael Bublé.

From there, the process expedited; Season 27 of "The Voice," singing alongside Bublé, himself, and now touring as an alter-ego of "Cleveland's Crooner."

Hayden's story is one that has tremendous experiences and very high highs. With them, Hayden openly discusses his bouts with mental health struggles. Hayden urges all of us to "Take our mental health the most seriously, but never to take ourselves too seriously." This passion for mental health wellbeing is near and dear to his heart, so Hayden commits great support and activism towards the realm.

Episode 80 of Chats with Clark will leave you stunned, as we take you behind the scenes of the thought processes of Team Adam's Hayden Grove and what has powered Hayden to reaching new heights in his singing career and beyond.

How does someone on stages in front of thousands overcome battles in his own brain? What does one do to stay grounded when hateful comments are thrown one's way? Where does God fit into all of this? And also, long live music.

In episode 80, we have you covered. Tune in and enjoy Hayden Grove. In the words of Bublé, "You're a beaut, Hayden"!

Check out more from Hayden Grove and Chats with Clark on social media by visiting the links below!
Chats with Clark
Hayden Grove
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for checking out episode 80 of the Chats with Clark Podcast!

If there is any content that YOU would like to hear featured or would like to set up an interview time, email me your questions, thoughts, or ideas at chatswithclark@gmail.com.

S6 Ep79: Rocco Whalen: Renowned Cleveland Chef; Owner of Fahrenheit Restaurants; A Homer & Uplifter of Others

"I'm a homer," Chef Rocco Whalen contends to start off episode 79 of Chats with Clark! Born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, Rocco was always in the kitchen with his grandma and his mom, learning the ins and outs of making dishes that were both delicious and filling.

Moreover, Rocco learned the importance of sitting down for family dinners and chatting about anything and everything. So much so that Rocco is adamant that the world's problems would be better solved around the dinner table with a great meal and perhaps some good bourbon.

This recognition of the humanity of one another is what has allowed for Rocco to excel throughout his career and life. After his initial training under the beloved women in his life, Rocco studied and practiced under the great Wolfgang Puck out in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and the west coast.

At merely twenty-four-years-old, Rocco went all in on himself and opened Fahrenheit in the Tremont neighborhood back home in Cleveland. During the initial opening year of the restaurant, Rocco received praise from Gourmet magazine (and others) and began creating a significant name for himself around the city.

Instead of a cut-throat approach, Rocco believed in the value of collaboration, which is what compelled Chef Rocco Whalen to befriend and learn from Cleveland staple chef Michael Symon. Like advised by Wolfgang, Rocco furthered his name for himself by being a chef that visited the tables and ensured that his restaurant attendees were always satisfied.

Again, person-to-person connection is a value that Rocco has embodied from his youth.

Fahrenheit is thriving with Rocco at the helm because of the full-circle approach. Tune in to hear how Rocco Whalen is using all of the best ingredients both in his food and in the environment to create top notch experiences for all who enter.

Rocco is one of those people whose energy is felt when he is in the room. He's a mover. See for yourself in episode 79, and after you watch, you'll be on the phone with Fahrenheit for a reservation.

Check out more from Rocco Whalen and Chats with Clark on social media by visiting the links below!
Rocco Whalen
Fahrenheit Cleveland and Fahrenheit Charlotte
Chats with Clark
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for checking out episode 79 of the "Chats with Clark" Podcast!

If there is any content that YOU would like to hear featured or would like to set up an interview time, email me your questions, thoughts, or ideas by emailing chatswithclark@gmail.com!
