[…] So at every point in time, they have to be very closely matched and historically the main variability came from the demand site. But now you've got weather -based renewables, every little gust of wind or cloud going in front of the sun affects the output moment to moment. And so then you have a lot more variability in that supply and demand balance and that costs money to manage. So probably additional couple of billion pounds a year is not trivial. So then you see you add all of those costs onto what you were previously paying. And so from 2006, we saw that the household cost was going up really dramatically. […]
