How Do the Packers Replace Edgerrin Cooper?

The Green Bay Packers won in Tampa Bay, but they lost Edgerrin Cooper for the season. How does Jonathan Gannon replace one of the defense’s most important playmakers with the Chicago Bears coming to Lambeau Field? On Packers: DERAILED, J.J. Lahey and Jake Schyvinck start with Cooper’s Achilles injury, the choices between Isaiah McDuffie and Ty’Ron Hopper, and what his absence could mean for a defense that had to save Sunday’s 17-14 win. Then we turn to the rebuilt offensive line. Laken Tomlinson and Travis Glover helped keep Jordan Love clean, but Kevin Zeitler is expected to enter the lineup. Who should start at right guard, and did Matt LaFleur find an offensive approach that can hold up against Chicago? Finally, how did the Packers let a winnable game stay so close? We’re breaking down the fourth-quarter turnovers, Kaleb Johnson’s goal-line fumble, the penalties and the third-down struggles that nearly erased Green Bay’s progress.Join the live chat with your take, and subscribe to The Packer Project for more Packers news and analysis.Go Pack Go!#Packers #EdgerrinCooper #PackersBears💸 Donate Some Love: If you love the show, please consider helping to keep us “derailed” at https://venmo.com/packerproject or https://cash.app/$PackerProjectJoin J.J. Can Brian Gutekunst FIX the Packers If Matt LaFleur Won’t?

Brian Gutekunst is signing offensive linemen. Is Matt LaFleur willing to change anything about the way the Packers play? After a 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay is 1-2 and its problems are getting harder to explain away. The Packers ran just nine times for 17 yards, Jordan Love was under pressure again, and a defense that looked promising through two weeks gave up 242 rushing yards. Now Gutekunst has added veteran guards Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton in an attempt to repair the offensive line.On Packers: DERAILED, J.J. Lahey and Jake Schyvinck ask whether the general manager’s moves can matter if LaFleur keeps trusting the same coaches, the same approach and an offense that cannot establish a run game or protect its quarterback. We’re breaking down:• Whether Tomlinson or Becton can actually help the offensive line • Why it took three games for Gutekunst to seek veteran help • LaFleur’s refusal to address questions about coaching changes • The Packers’ nine rushing attempts against Atlanta and what happened to their offensive identity • How much of Love’s struggle belongs to the line, the play calling or Love himself • Bijan Robinson and Drake London’s huge nights against Jonathan Gannon’s defense • What Matthew Golden and Christian Watson are giving this offense • The latest questions surrounding Josh Jacobs, Jayden Reed and Green Bay’s growing injury list • What needs to change before the Packers face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Gutekunst is trying to fix the roster. We’ll debate whether LaFleur is ready to fix the rest.Subscribe to The Packer Project for Packers news, analysis and Packers: DERAILED.#Packers #GreenBayPackers #MattLaFleur💸 Donate Some Love: If you love the show, please consider helping to keep us “derailed” at https://venmo.com/packerproject or https://cash.app/$PackerProjectJoin J.J.
