57. Chevere Means: Being Latinx

<p>Celebrating the Latinx community, siempre. </p> <p>Today we have a very different type of episode, it’s more a mini collection of thoughts and reflections by some of the Latinx individuals who inspire us the most. We're wrapping up Hispanic Heritage Month so we asked some friends to reflect on what we love about our culture and backgrounds, and answer what is the most chevere thing about being Latinx? </p> <p>Big thanks to: </p> <ul> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/cassandramayelallen/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Cassandra Mayela Allen</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/lavalenpo/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Valentina Pozo</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/marcoamazonico/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Marco Castro</a> </li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/banzo__/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Camila Banzo</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/garcia_lba/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Alba Garcia</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/sofiabib_pr/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Sofia Bibliowicz</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/danvictoriagleason/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Dan Victoria Gleason</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/danielle.work_/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Danielle Juliao Lafaurie</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/mgpedrero/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Mercedes de Maria Genoveva</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/pri.aguilr/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Pri Aguilar</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/biancamnieves/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Bianca Nieves</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/izackmr/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Izack Morales</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/drinkcasalu/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Ricardo Sucre</a></li> <li><a href="https://www.instagram.com/c.arlosnunez/" target="_blank" rel="ugc noopener noreferrer">Carlos Nuñez</a></li> </ul>

56. A Toast to Tradition Sobremesa, co-hosted with Anju Wines

<p>This Sobremesa is a collaboration with Anju Wines—a project aiming to make wine approachable through food, education &amp; community.</p> <p>We wanted the evening to be a celebration of food as the ultimate connector—across generations and cultures, we find that food has the ability to break most barriers. Jess and Sarah, the creators behind Anju Wines, often explore the pairing of Asian flavors with wine, so we collaborated with Chef Nadia for the ultimate Kamayan feast that we thought would perfectly create a sensorial experience, loaded with flavor, for our guests to enjoy as they sipped on their carefully curated wines. &quot;Kamayan&quot; refers to the traditional Filipino style of eating communally without plates or utensils, and that&#39;s exactly how the night went.</p> <p>Thank you to our guests for attending and participating in this episode. Hope you enjoy it!</p> <p>Wine experience by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/anjuwines/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">Anju Wines</a></p> <p>Food by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/picapicabk/">PicaPica</a></p> <p>Hosted at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/apartment7x/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">Apartment 7X</a></p>
