Hosted by Stephanie Cabral, a food creative and entrepreneur building a life — and a business — in Tel Aviv, shaped by everything that came before: Montreal, conversion, corporate life, and years of learning what she actually wants. This podcast serves up honest conversations about faith, identity, alignment, love, and entrepreneurship — what it actually takes to build something real, one seat, one recipe, one risk at a time.
Whether you're building your own life on everything you've already lived, chasing a calling, or just hungry for something real — pull up a chair. You're at the table now
Over the past few weeks, I’ve met several people who made aliyah with every intention of building a life in Israel—and are now choosing to leave. Their decisions stirred something in me: not a desire to follow them, but a need to examine why I have been able to build a life here when others with the same intention have decided they can’t.
In Episode 3, I explore what makes an aliyah “successful,” the difference between intending to stay and deliberately creating the conditions that allow you to stay, and how shipping my belongings, building a home and putting down roots shaped my own experience.
Is staying the measure of success? Does leaving mean you failed? Or is belonging something we must continue to choose?
Perhaps belonging isn’t the absence of doubt. Perhaps it’s questioning your choice honestly—and deciding whether you want to choose it again.

Why I Show Up
I don't like being the center of attention — and yet here I am, hosting dinners, building a brand, and recording this into a microphone. In this episode, I talk about my life path number (a 1 — the builder, the initiator), the very real discomfort I feel every time someone tries to publicly thank me, and the moment I realized that disappearing wasn't humility, it was making someone else's gratitude about my own discomfort. This one's about the difference between wanting your work seen and wanting yourself seen — and what I'm still learning about staying in the room.

Why I Had to Build It
I've been quiet for a while — not because I stopped creating, but because I was busy living it. In this relaunch episode, I open up about why Chic & Kosher had to become The Table I Built, what I've actually been building since I stopped recording, and the deal I made with Hashem before I ever hosted a single dinner. This is the story of an empty apartment, five suitcases, six months without a table, and the quiet realization that building was never really about the food — it was about becoming.

Salade Cuite, The Art of the Simmer: A Labor of Love
ome things can’t be rushed. In this episode, I simmer a pot of salade cuite (matbucha) and reflect on the slow flame of patience — in food, in love, in creativity, and in life. From Jewish wisdom to Kabbalistic teachings, we explore how the sweetest flavors — and the deepest transformations — only come with time, care, and refinement.
Because sometimes, what looks unfinished is simply mid-simmer.

The Onion Doesn’t Know It’s the Star
What can an onion teach us about attraction, insecurity, and the soul? In this episode, Stephanie peels back the layers — from kitchens around the world to Kabbalah to Carl Jung — uncovering how sweetness is revealed with time, patience, and presence. A reflection on depth, vulnerability, and the quiet truth that even when we don’t see it, we are already the star of the dish.

Seed Bearer — Within the Softest Things Lie New Beginnings
In this tender, sensory-rich episode, Stephanie reflects on the journey from seed to fruit, from softness to strength, and from becoming to giving. Through the metaphor of a tomato—and the vibrant Turkish salad Ezme—she unpacks what it means to grow, transform, and serve from a place of feminine grace.
Recorded during the month of Av, and just before the threshold of Elul, this is a story of spiritual ripening:
of leaving comfort, embracing uncertainty, and landing—exactly nine months later—into purpose, place, and self.
Because just like the tomato, we hold seeds of potential. And when we soften, when we surrender, we become vessels of giving.

The Lid is Not the Limit: Kubaneh, Kabbalah & Expanding Your Vessel
This week on Chic & Kosher, we explore what happens when we outgrow our own containers—and how Hashem lovingly invites us to stretch beyond them.
Using Yemenite kubaneh bread—baked slowly in a closed vessel—as a metaphor, Stephanie reflects on the kabbalistic themes of tzimtzum (contraction) and expansion, the energy of the Three Weeks, and how spiritual pressure often precedes profound personal growth.
She shares a personal story about pursuing a production space for her pantry product line—how it felt too big, too soon—and the moment she realized it wasn’t a misalignment but a Divine invitation to cocreate.
This isn’t just about bread or business. It’s about breaking ceilings, saying yes to more, and trusting the Creator’s timeline, even when it surprises you.

The Curated Hustle - Emunah in Real Life (sourdough)
You can’t rush sourdough. You don’t just throw ingredients in and hope. You measure hydration. You fold gently. You wait for the dough to develop strength and structure. And when it’s time—it has to go into high heat to become bread.
This is what spiritual hustle looks like.
The same way a dough’s outcome depends on invisible forces—like temperature, air, time—your growth depends on the unseen. The inner work. The kavana (intention). The way you show up when no one’s looking.
