Hi I'm Danyo.
At 30 years old, I couldn't speak Mandarin Chinese.
Now I'm 35, and I'm living my dream life and teaching others Chinese.
Traditional methods failed me. Self-education healed me.
I spent 12+ years training and working as a medical doctor in Canada but in 2019 I burned out. I quit my job to pursue my passion to learn Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan.
I went from being afraid to speak to having multi-hour conversations with native speakers after 1 year of immersing myself in the language.
Now I spend my time in Taiwan teaching others to improve level their Mandarin speaking fast using the Copy Paste Speak System ™.

After a long hiatus, I catch up with my good friend and fellow Chinese learner, Tom, in Mandarin about life, getting back into learning Chinese after taking a break, long-distance hiking, speaking confidence, and more.

Before we can speak well, we need to practice a lot in a safe environment and make a lot of mistakes.
Speaking is not about performance. Speaking is an opportunity to practice and play with the language.
When you enjoy using the language, you inevitably improve.
