We’re back with another spooky stroll, but this time we’re switching things up with Sweet Treats of the Week instead of our usual sips! We kicked things off at the New Albany Sugar Shoppe, grabbed some goodies, and made our way over to the New Albany Amphitheater to taste-test our treats and hang out for a bit. Because what’s better than sugar, spooky stories, and a little downtown adventure?
M shares some spooky lore from the Sugar Shoppe, then Syd reads us another story from the book we introduced last week — and this one takes us to Bardstown, Kentucky, just a little ways from home! We wander back through downtown, admire some historic homes, and somehow manage to acquire a tomato straight from someone’s vine. Don’t ask questions… just know it happened.
We eventually make our way back to Mickey’s Coffee Shop, where we started our last episode, but we’re cutting you guys off right before we head inside! Head over to our socials for a little walkthrough of the adventure AND to see what sips we ended up grabbing at Mickey’s.

Spooky Stories, Cozy Sips, and Sweet Treats
Our sips of the week came from Mickey’s Coffee Shop in New Albany, Indiana — M went for a maple spiced chai while Syd got a cookie butter cinnamon latte, and honestly… both were giving FALL.
We sat outside, soaked up the cozy vibes, and M cracked open Kentucky Hauntings: Homespun Ghost Stories and Unexplained History for a little spooky storytelling. After the first story, we started our walk toward New Albany Sugar Shoppe, because obviously every haunted adventure needs a little sugar.
On the way, Syd read us another story about a Chime Child, which somehow turned our spooky little walk into a surprisingly sentimental one. The story had us both reminiscing about loved ones and sharing some really sweet memories along the way.
We made it to the Sugar Shoppe, grabbed some goodies, and you’ll have to tune in NEXT WEEK to see what we got!

POV: You're on a Roadtrip With Us
☕️ WE’RE ON THE ROAD, YOU GUYS!! 🍂
Sips of the Week are coming with us this time because Chittin’ & Chattin’ is ON THE ROAD AGAIN! We’ve got homemade coffee, Witches Brew Alani, and of course WATER because apparently hiking requires us to pretend we’re responsible adults. 😂
This episode is a little different because we’re bringing you along for the whole mini road trip to Clifty Falls State Park in Madison, Indiana! You get to ride shotgun with us as we make our way down the backroads, admire all the tree farms and corn fields, and repeatedly yell “YOU GUYS” because FALL IS COMING and we are WAY too excited about it. 🍁🎃
Sydney is testing out her new Luna 360 camera and… well… let’s just say the joystick has given her entirely too much power. 😂 Watch her look like a toddler proudly showing you every single pretty tree and corn field along the way while we embrace the absolute chaos of the two of us trapped in a car together.
We also fall in love with Madison, Indiana and immediately decide we need to come back for a proper trip because there is SO much we want to explore. And apparently a future visit MUST include the Red Pepper… which is conveniently right beside the Red Pepperoni. Priorities. 😂
Halfway through, we pause the episode and pick things back up on our drive home after our hike! If you haven’t seen our Clifty Falls adventure yet, go check out last week’s episode because we tackled Indiana’s StairMaster and had an absolute blast.🌲
Then, naturally, we have to discuss how Sydney somehow ceviche’d herself AKA accidentally gave herself a citrus burn, M discovers that Syd is apparently the QUEEN of escape rooms, and we spot M’s DREAM CAR… because obviously a simple road trip needed several rabbit holes.
And somehow, after all of that, we end up at the same place we always seem to find ourselves:

Life is weird, the road trips are chaotic, the cameras have joysticks, and sometimes you accidentally marinate yourself in citrus… but there is still so much good to notice along the way.
