This Multicultural Queensland Month, we’re celebrating the rich cultural diversity that strengthens communities across Queensland. In this episode, we explore how Carers Queensland is helping carers and people with disability from multicultural backgrounds access the information, services and supports they need to thrive. We discuss the importance of meaningful inclusion, building trusted community connections, and the work our teams are doing across the state to ensure everyone feels seen, heard and supported, regardless of their cultural or linguistic background.

NAIDOC Week 2026 '50 Years of Deadly'
This NAIDOC week, we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly, honouring the strength, resilience and achievements of First Nations people. Today's guest, Dessy, is a proud First Nations man from the Gold Coast whose story reflects that spirit. After an accident left him legally blind, Dessy has overcome challenges to now provide inspiration and support to First Nations young people. Studying First Nations youth work and driven to give back, Dessy is passionate about helping others find purpose.

Pride Month 2026 - Sam's story
In this episode, we celebrate Pride Month, a significant event on our calendar as we support people with disability from the LGBTQIA community. Today we're joined by Sam, a proud non-binary member of the community who shares their journey of growth, empowerment and advocacy. Sam reflects on how respectful, affirming support from the NDIS helped them build confidence and capacity. I started by asking Sam about their early life and living with neurodiversity.
