Having a health check for your heart can be scary. What if our hearts are doing worse than we hoped? The same is true of the spiritual condition of our hearts. Listen in as Simon takes us into Luke 6:43-45 where Jesus teaches us about the connection of our actions and our heart and we encounter God's promise to give us new hearts, and enable us to love him.

The Mercy-Saturated Church
Everyone wants to be part of a community that doesn't keep tabs, doesn't write people off, and where your worst moment doesn't have to be your last. We all know we need that kind of place. The problem is we know from painful experience how rarely it exists.
Luke 6: 36 - 42 is Jesus vision for a mercy-saturated community. Not as a nice ideal, but as a non-negotiable mark of his people. No caveats. No limits. No cultural permission to cancel when the hurt goes deep enough.
Lewis Roderick preaches and shows us what mercy is, why it's so difficult and how we might live it out.

Outrageous Love
As Jesus continues to teach on the plain, he issues a radical call for his followers to love their enemies. As a skilled teacher, he begins to open up layer after layer of our hearts, exposing how selfish, self-protective and self-interested our love for others can be. But, in the process, he's also marvellously revealing just how outrageous is the gracious love of God for sinners!
