Church Folks Podcast is all about real conversations for real disciples. We dive into what it means to be disciples who make disciples, depend on God through His Word, and live out our faith in true and genuine ways. From the trials and triumphs of ministry to everyday moments with family and community, we’re here to encourage, challenge, and equip you to walk faithfully with Jesus. Pull up a chair—let’s talk church, life, and discipleship.
Today is our walkthrough of Matthew 18:10-20 with Pastor Tyler. Yesterday was a great day in the life of our church as we celebrated the Ordination of Drew Law. This morning, we have the opportunity to look at the same passage from a different perspective and how it applies to not just the role of pastor, but to every individual saved by the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord!
Join us today for a sneak peak as to how I, Tyler, begin working through sermon prep for Sunday Mornings. Sorry in advance for the chaos of my brain and hang on for the ride!

Why Christians Confess Sin
Why would Christians intentionally admit the worst things they've done? If God already knows everything, why do we need to confess anything? And if Jesus has already forgiven us, are we just supposed to keep feeling guilty?
In this episode of Church Folks, we explore why confession is actually one of the most freeing practices in the Christian life. Walking through 1 John 1:5–2:2, along with the words of David in Psalm 32, we discover that confession isn't about earning God's forgiveness or living under constant shame.
It's about stepping out of the darkness and into the light.
Christians don't confess sin because we love guilt.
We confess because forgiveness is real.

Why Christians Read an Ancient Book
Why Christians Read an Ancient Book
The Bible is ancient. It was written thousands of years ago, by dozens of different authors, in different languages and cultures. So why do Christians today still read it, trust it, and call it the Word of God?
In this episode of Church Folks, we take an honest look at why Christians believe the Bible is trustworthy. We explore the historical evidence behind the biblical manuscripts, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the formation of the New Testament canon, and the testimony of early Christian writers. But more importantly, we look at what the Bible says about itself, and what it means for Scripture to be the God-breathed Word that teaches, corrects, shapes, and transforms us.
The Bible may be an ancient book, but Christians believe its message is anything but outdated.
God has spoken. And if God has spoken, we should listen.
