Fr. Vince Fernandez's Homily, 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 10/5/2026
Fr. Vince's homily explains the meaning of a pop culture term called "main character syndrome." This is the phenomenon of people living as though they are the most important person in their life and everyone else is just a side character. He relates this to the gospel where the tenants don't wish to relinquish ownership of the field. They refuse to believe they are stewards of the field and kill the heir for the inheritance. It is important to reframe our mentality of our possessions, time, families as things entrusted to us from God. We should give thanks to the Lord for entrusting our belongings to us for the time we have.

Fr. Vince Fernandez's Homily, 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 9/27/2026
Fr. Vince's homily explains that we make the mistake of thinking God's will is in opposition to ours. However, God wills what is good for us. He desires what is best for us at all times. We often times worry whether we are doing God's will. St. Thomas Aquinas teaches that our desires in most ways are good, but the sin comes from desiring something much smaller than God's friendship and love for us.

Fr. Stuart Crevcoure's Homily, Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time, 10/4/2026
Fr. Stuart Crevcoure's homily explains the tenants' selfishness in the parable of the gospel. They wish to be owners instead of stewards of the field. Jesus is explaining his crucifixion and how he was rejected. It is easy in our own lives to claim ownership of our possessions instead of acknowledging God's blessings. These things are not meant to be for our own gain but also to help build each other up. The works of the kingdom is meant to be given over and multiplied.
