inspired by the 100th year of Buggy, we set out to interview characters and collect some of the best stories from the sport's 100 years. Created and hosted by Will Weiner, we speak to a range of alumni from all sorts of teams, staff, BAA and more.
This podcast is produced by Rachael Schmitt, and brought to you by the Buggy Alumni Association.
The intro music is used from the Free Music Archive and is the song Hotshot by Scott Holmes
You've seen him on the Buggy Broadcast. You've heard him on Chute the Sh!t. Now, for our final episode, the voice of Raceday himself, Will Weiner, takes the hot seat! With over a decade of experience calling the action, Will shares behind-the-scenes stories, insights into his play-by-play approach, and how he mythologizes the buggy teams—turning races into legendary battles of heroes, rivals, and underdogs. Plus, Chute the Sh!t gets meta as we podcast about the podcast. Don't miss this very special farewell episode!

Where you Lead, I will Follow: Inside the Trucks
In this episode, we dive into the essential role of Lead and Follow trucks on Raceday! Our guests—John Hannon, Holly Hippensteel, Joanna Dickert, and Bryan Koval—not only serve the CMU community in their day jobs but also take on the critical responsibility of piloting and co-piloting the trucks that bookend the buggies as they race. They share their firsthand experiences with Raceday operations, navigating course hazards, the ideal truck-driving mindset, and the art of maintaining Sweeps' bubble of secrecy when needed. Tune in for an episode inside the trucks!
