Death and Gemory
The Death card is one of the most misunderstood cards in Tarot. It rarely points to literal death; more often, it speaks to change, endings, release, and the transformation that becomes possible when something can no longer continue in its present form. In this episode of The Arcane Realm, CK explores Death as a necessary part of growth and follows the Fool as he encounters the thirteenth Major Arcana and learns that moving forward sometimes requires leaving behind identities, beliefs, fears, and patterns that have already served their purpose. Then we turn to Gemory, the 56th spirit of the Ars Goetia, traditionally described as a Duke who reveals hidden treasures and knows things of the past, present, and future. From there, the discussion moves into a modern working interpretation of Gemory as a spirit connected with uncovering what has been buried beneath trauma, addiction, defenses, and survival patterns. Together, Death and Gemory create a powerful framework for inner work: Gemory helps uncover the wound, while Death helps the life built around it end. The central question of this episode becomes: Now that you have uncovered the wound, what part of the life built around it are you ready to let die? The episode also includes a simple framework for working with Death and Gemory together, along with five journaling prompts for exploring survival patterns, defenses, addiction, fear of change, and the person you might become when the past no longer makes your present decisions. Spiritual practice is not a replacement for therapy, medical treatment, rehabilitation, support groups, or other professional care. These practices can provide symbolism, reflection, ritual, and perspective, but practical help should be sought whenever it is needed.

The Wheel and Balam
The Wheel of Fortune & Balam: Can You See Clearly While the Wheel Moves? The Wheel is always turning. Sometimes we rise. Sometimes we fall. Sometimes life changes direction before we feel ready. But what if the lesson is not learning how to control the Wheel… but learning how to see clearly while it moves? In this episode of Arcane Realm, we continue the Fool’s Journey with the Wheel of Fortune, the tenth card of the Major Arcana. After receiving wisdom from the Hermit, the Fool returns to the path and discovers a powerful truth — not every force in life can be controlled. The Wheel teaches us about cycles, change, fate, opportunity, endings, beginnings, and the patterns that repeat until we finally understand them. Joining us on this journey is Balam, the 51st spirit of the Ars Goetia within the Lesser Key of Solomon. A Great and Powerful King commanding 40 legions, Balam appears with three heads — a bull, a man, and a ram — riding upon a bear and carrying a hawk. Known for revealing the past, understanding the present, and offering insight into the future, Balam challenges us to look beyond our first reactions and see the deeper truth beneath the surface. Together, the Wheel of Fortune and Balam ask: Are you seeing the truth of your situation… or only your reaction to it? The Wheel brings motion. Balam brings sight. Think back to a moment when the Wheel turned unexpectedly. Something you thought was a failure, a loss, or a closed door. Looking back now, what did that moment create? What did it teach you? 5. What cycle keeps returning in my life? Is there a pattern, lesson, or situation that keeps appearing? Is the Wheel bringing me back to the same place, or giving me another opportunity to see it differently? 6. What am I trying to control that I may need to understand instead? Where am I forcing? Where am I resisting? 7. Can I sit with uncertainty without demanding an immediate answer? Can I allow the Wheel to turn long enough for the full picture to reveal itself? ✨ Remember: The Wheel will always turn. The question is not whether life will change. The question is… Can you see clearly while the Wheel moves?

The Emperor and Zagan
The Emperor & Zagan — Authority, Truth, and Reform In Episode 07 of Arcane Realm, we explore the nature of authority — how it’s built, how it’s maintained, and how it must evolve to remain legitimate. We begin with The Emperor, the Tarot archetype of structure, leadership, and responsibility. The Emperor governs the systems we rely on: personal rules, institutions, traditions, and inner authority. At his best, he provides stability and protection. In shadow, he becomes rigid, controlling, and resistant to change. From there, we transition into the current of Zagan, a Goetic force associated with alchemy, truth, and transformation. Zagan does not seek chaos or rebellion. Instead, he dissolves illusion — exposing what no longer functions so something real can take its place.
