The Book of Acts Part 3: The Church Spreads Through Persecution (with Ps Tim Meyers)
We're continuing our Book of Acts series this year, and this Sunday, Ps Tim will be sharing The Church Spreads Through Persecution, based on Acts 8:1–8.
When fierce opposition broke out against the early church, it seemed like the end of the movement. Believers were persecuted, homes were invaded, and families were scattered. Yet, what was intended for destruction became an opportunity for God’s purposes to advance.
As we explore this passage, we’ll discover how persecution, rather than silencing the gospel, caused it to spread even further. We’ll see how God can use opposition to ignite courageous faith and bold preaching in ordinary believers, ultimately bringing deep and unshakeable joy even in the midst of difficult circumstances. Join us as we reflect on how God continues to work through every situation to accomplish His purposes.

Stones of Memorial (with Dr Lisa Pak)
God has always been a generational God, unfolding His story through humanity, generation after generation. It is significant for us to remember who God is and what He has done so that we might look towards what is to come in confidence and courage, knowing that He is faithful, always.

Compassion Sunday (with Tonya Peters)
We had the privilege of welcoming Tonya Peters from Compassion Australia as our special guest speaker. Sharing from Matthew 14:13–21, Tonya explored how Jesus’ deep compassion moved Him to respond to the needs of others, even while grieving the death of John the Baptist. Through the feeding of the five thousand, we are reminded that Jesus calls us to actively participate in generosity and trust that God can use what may seem like a small offering to provide more than enough. This powerful miracle shows us that compassion is not simply something we feel, but something we put into action as we respond to the needs around us, serve others selflessly, and offer what we have with willing hearts, trusting God to use even the smallest acts of kindness and generosity to bring blessing and abundance.

Jesus Our Firm Foundation: Celebrating 75 Years (with Ps Phoebe et al)
Ps Phoebe, Ps Kyle and Ps Phanin shared a short message to help celebrate and acknowledge what God has done over the life of our church. Our theme for the Sunday, Christ: Our Firm Foundation, is also the theme of this message, as we briefly looked through Matthew 7:24-27. God has been gracious in guiding and growing his church, and we seek to make sure that we continue to build on Christ, and Christ alone, for the many years to come. Join us in celebrating our history, remembering what God has done, and reminding ourselves on what we will build our faith on going forward.

The Book of Acts Part 2: Growing Through Sacrifice and Forgiveness (with Clem Lo)
In Acts 7:54–60, Stephen faces the greatest and most costly pressure in his life. He is falsely accused, rejected, dragged outside the city, and killed. Yet what comes out of him is not hatred, revenge, or fear, but faith, surrender, forgiveness, and peace. As we explore Acts 7:54-60 together, let's come prepared and prayerful with open hearts to allow Jesus to meet us with grace, help us follow him more deeply, and gently lead us into freedom.

The Book of Acts Part 2: Growing Even When It Hurts (with David Lee)
David Lee continued our Book of Acts series with his message, Growing Even When It Hurts. In Acts 6, we meet Stephen. Stephen is a good guy, but he's unfairly persecuted for following Jesus. He does something unusual and seeks to use God's wisdom to confront those around him rather than defend himself. We see ourselves in Stephen, but we could be the ones on the other side acting in ways that oppose God without even realising it. How do we respond when we are confronted in either of these fashions?

Book of Acts Part 2: Growing Through Challenges (with Shamilla)
Healthy churches are not problem-free churches - they grow through challenges. We explored how the early church remained with Jesus, cared for people, and empowered every believer to serve, so that God's mission continued to flourish. What can Acts 6 teach us about growing through the challenges we face today?

Search Me O God (with Ps Tim Meyers)
Ps Tim shared a message titled Search Me, O God. Building on the message about Ananias and Sapphira in the Book of Acts, we took a deeper look at the truth that while people see the outward appearance, God sees the heart. Together, we reflected on what it means to invite God to search and examine our hearts, allowing Him to reveal what needs to change so that we can grow in authenticity, humility and wholehearted devotion to Him.
