In Genesis 29-30 we are presented with a crisis: Leah can have children but is unloved by her husband, while Rachel is loved by Jacob but cannot have children. 10/11/26, Found Out, Not Forsaken
In Genesis 29, God's chosen one is a fly in the web of a spider, and God is silent. Jacob, the deceiver, has been deceived, and we learn that the God who weaves together His promises in seeming silence also lets your sin find you out. God allows our sin to find us out because He is not mocked, He is in the business of saving sinners, and He disciplines the children whom He loves.
