About Coal and Salt

Welcome to Coal and Salt! This is going to be as personal as it gets in terms of everything that I do. But again, who am I? Hi! I am Farhid! And these are going to be my mindless ramblings from the perspective of a time traveler. Interesting right? I hope all this interest stays till the very end and till then, Yours, Forever, Farhid

Why I Am an Atheist by Bhagat Singh | Original Manuscript & Recitation

Why I Am an Atheist by Bhagat Singh - an English recitation of his famous 1930 essay, with the original printed manuscript shown on screen as the words are spoken.Bhagat Singh's Why I Am an Atheist is one of the most powerful and thought-provoking writings of the Indian revolutionary. Written in 1930 while Bhagat Singh was imprisoned, the essay explores atheism, faith, God, reason, suffering, ego, courage, and the freedom to question. In this video, the original printed text of Why I Am an Atheist scrolls alongside the recitation, allowing you to read Bhagat Singh's words while listening to them being spoken. This isn't an attempt to tell you what to believe in, but an attempt to let Bhagat Singh's own words speak for themselves.Whether you are interested in Bhagat Singh, Indian history, the Indian freedom struggle, revolutionary literature, atheism, philosophy, rationalism, or the history of India's revolutionaries, this essay offers a fascinating glimpse into the mind of one of India's most influential revolutionaries.Bhagat Singh - Why I Am an AtheistWritten: 1930Original text + recitationIf you found something in Bhagat Singh's argument worth thinking about, share the video with someone who might appreciate it.
