(https://rss.com/podcasts/code-purple-podcast/voicemail) South Korea, the home of Korean spas (Jjimjilbang), Soju and K-Pop, as well as really good cinema. After the guys discuss the polarising recent feature Digger (2026, dir. Alejandro González Iñárritu), they delve into their choices, consisting of: I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (싸이보그지만 괜찮아) (2006, dir. Park Chan-Wook), Train to Busan (부산행) (2016, dir. Splish Splash I Was Taking a September
The Code Purple crew have drawn a bath and invite you to join them in it, for it is Bath Month on the Code Purple Podcast. A relaxing and cleansing soak was needed after the bloody recent feature Resident Evil (2026, dir. Zach Cregger), which put them in the right headspace to discuss the soggy sea-themed selection of Piranha 2: The Spawning (1982, dir. James Cameron), Deep Blue Sea (1999, Renny Harlin) and Aquaman (2018, dir. James Wan).

Brand New Host
After all memory of them was wiped from the minds of the world's population, Code Purple returns for a new episode, with a brand new (guest) host, Tom Watkins. The guys discuss the most recent instalment in the MCU and Spider-Man film franchises: Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026, dir. Destin Daniel Cretton).

70sgust
It's been a crazy month at Code Purple HQ. Luke's been busy working at a kitchen in Provincetown, Osian has recently become MI6's first non-binary recruit, and James had to transport crates of volatile nitroglycerin along dirt roads in his Peugeot 107. As such, there have once again been delays, but finally a new episode has arrived, themed around one of the gang's favourite decades, the 70s. The recent feature is coincidentally 70s-set, with it being Tony (2026, dir. Matt Johnson). The choices are The Spook Who Sat by the Door (1973, dir. Ivan Dixon), The Front (1976, dir. Martin Ritt) and Sorcerer (1977, dir. William Friedkin).

Music, Stuart, Film
MUSIC, STUART, FILM. That's the premise for this episode, where the guys talk the newly released album Music, Fashion, Film by Charli XCX, the new Big Bang Theory spin-off Stuart Fails to Save the Universe and the recent feature The Odyssey (2026, dir. Christopher Nolan). Sorry it's come so late; Osian had an Odyssey of their own, and Osiansey, if you will, as they tried to make it back from their Haven Holiday. The Cyclops offered them his cheese, and they asked if he had any Babybels instead. It really pissed Poseidon off, hence the delay. Now everyone's back a Code Purple HQ, things should go back to normal.

Is your social credit score low? Fear not, as you can raise it by listening to this new episode of the Code Purple podcast, for the theme this month is Chinese Cinema. The guys have chosen the films In the Heat of the Sun (1994, dir. Jiang Wen), Detective Chinatown (2015, dir. Chen Sicheng) and Only the River Flows (2023, dir. Wei Shujun). The recent feature of the month is Minions & Monsters (2026, dir. Pierre Coffin), and we must warn that listening to this segment will not raise your social credit score; it might even lower it.

Junion Jack (B-Side)
Fancy another cuppa? That's right, Junion Jack continues to its B-side. This time, friend of the show Alex has popped by to natter to the guys about the recent feature Disclosure Day (2026, dir. Steven Spielberg) as well as his choice, Distant Voices, Still Lives (1988, dir. Terence Davies).

Junion Jack
Grab your tea and biscuits, it’s bloody Junion Jack innit. That means we’ve got a jolly good episode of podcasting for you, with this British-themed month. The choices for the month are Carry on Camping (1969, dir Gerald Thomas), When the Wind Blows (1986, dir. Jimmy T. Murakami) and Wuthering Heights (2011, dir Andrea Arnold). Before the guys get into the nitty-gritty, they discuss non-British recent feature, Backrooms (2026, dir. Kane Parsons). He is twenty years old.

One-Hit April
Sometimes once is enough. That’s what someone should have told us after we released our first episode. Alas, here we are with One Hit April, where the guys discuss films by directors who only got in the chair once. As well as recent release The Drama (2026, dir. Kristoffer Borgli), the films discussed are Wanda (1970, dir. Barbara Loden), Street Trash (1987, dir. J. Michael Muro) and Mystery Men (1999, Kinka Usher). In the spirit of the theme and for no other reason whatsoever, we are only releasing one episode for April.

Oscars Recap
Did we get ya? Did you get April Fooled? Hopefully, we didn't let you wait too long for the actual B-Side episode, wherein the guys recap and review the 2025-2026 award season, which culminated in the 98th Academy Awards. The guys go category by category, commenting on the winners, the nominees and other films they had seen, which might have been deserving of awards. They also touch on whether ties are allowed and pitch a new category, best minor role.

The Umbara arc
In this episode, the guys discuss one of the most highly regarded Clone Wars arcs, the Umbara arc. The arc follows all of our favourite clones of the 501st legion, as they have to contend with the harsh conditions of the planet Umbara, under the leadership of harsh Jedi Master Pong Krell. As always, the episode features our humble Nerf Osian's first reactions to this arc; meanwhile, James reflects on the first time he watched it, almost a decade ago.

Mid-Century March
It might be the Mid-1900s, but these films sure aren't mid. That's right, the choices for this month's show originate from the 50s and what a damn fine collection they are. Before the guys delve into those, they close out the spiritual Charli XCX trilogy of episodes by discussing her recent mockumentary film The Moment (2026, dir. Aidan Zamiri). The choices are M (1951, dir. Joseph Losey), Room at the Top (1958, dir. Jack Clayton) and Anatomy of a Murder (1959, dir. Otto Preminger).

Februar
Grab your weizenbier! Grab your bratwurst! For it is Februar, AKA German Month, on the Code Purple Podcast. Before the guys set off to Germany, they take a brief detour to the wily, windy moors of Yorkshire and discuss the polarising recent release, "Wuthering Heights" (2026, dir. Emerald Fennell). The film choices are M (1931, Dir. Fritz Lang), Werner and the Wizard of Booze (1990, dir. Niki List) and Toni Erdmann (2016, dir Maren Ade). The guys regret to inform that this is the only episode of this month as technical difficulties prevented the release of a B-Side episode, as teased in "Brief January". Don't fret too much, however, as these difficulties have since been overcome and it should be on to the new schedule for next month.

Brief January
It might be Brief January, but this episode is just as long as the last! Worry not, faithful listener, we've devised a solution to this, which we explain near the end of this episode. In the meantime, tune in as the guys discuss 90-minute films and extended plays (EPs). The films are The Cameraman (1928, dir. Edward Sedgwick, Buster Keaton), Persona (1966, dir. Ingmar Bergman), and Dude, Where’s My Car? (2000, dir. Danny Leiner). The EPs are Watery, Domestic (1992), Why Does the Sun Shine? (The Sun Is a Mass of Incandescent Gas) (1994) by They Might Be Giants and Vroom Vroom (2016) by Charli XCX.

New year, new episode of the Code Purple Podcast. What better way to nurse that New Year's hangover than by unwinding to the soothing sound of Osian, Luke and James' film and album discussions? As well as the recent release The Mastermind (2025, dir. Kelly Reichardt), the guys discuss films and albums of the 2000s. The films are Adventureland (2009, dir. Greg Mottola), Electroma (2006, dir.
