Rick Enlow has been part of Old North Church since 1979. He was born and raised in the Valley, graduated from Canfield High School in 1987, and spent years as a welder at TP Tools before he got into ministry. What moved him into ministry was the hardest thing a parent can face: the deaths of two of his daughters, Shelby and Faith.
In this episode, Pastor Bruce Chimani sits down with Rick, Old North's Pastor of Care & Connection, to talk about the man behind the role. Rick opens up about losing his father young and the stepfather, Bob, who adopted him. He talks about his rowdy years, the music that has followed him through every season, and his marriage to Geri, his wife since 1990.

As a little boy in central Pennsylvania, Kyle Hoffsmith (https://www.instagram.com/kyle_hoffsmith/) couldn't be understood without his brother translating for him. One of the songs he practiced in speech therapy to get his hard G's right was "God Is So Good." Today he spends his days talking to teenagers and their parents about exactly that.
Kyle is Pastor of Family Ministry at Old North Church. He came into this conversation cold, without seeing a single question in advance. Bruce asks him why he left Pennsylvania for Canfield, how Jenna fits into his story. They also get into his new book, Youth Ministry & the Vine (Matthias Media), and its argument that programs are the trellis while students are the vine. Along the way Kyle reacts to old family photos and shares a few things about growing up in Hershey, PA.
