The Water with Emcee Skawla: Episode 3

Episode Description — The Water with Emcee Skawla STYLE: Urban‑noir radio energy, sly commentary, community pulse, musical undertones. DESCRIPTION: On this week’s episode of The Water, Emcee Skawla takes you on a smooth ride through the latest currents in Coffy Town. We open with updates from the Flower Power Exhibit, where the city’s most sacred artifacts are drawing crowds, questions, and quiet side‑eye from the Rebels. Then Skawla slips into the archives to revisit Ghetto Cinderella, the street‑born fairytale that still echoes through Club Surrender’s back rooms. From there, he shines a light on Neighborhood Flower, the hometown hero story that reminds Coffy Town who it blooms for. But the real heat hits in The Rundown, where Skawla breaks down the rising tension in the streets, the whispers in the alleys, and the narrative autonomy movement gaining momentum across the districts. Finally, Skawla closes with a lesson for the curious and the courageous: How to Build a Trap House — not the kind you think, but the kind that traps truth, catches lies, and exposes the stories we hide from ourselves. It all leads into his signature Truth Is a Trap House Horrorcore Remix, stitched with rhythm, revelation, and that unmistakable Coffy Town grit. If you’re new here, now’s the time to catch up on Season 1: Players & Pearls at Club Surrender before the Sneak Peek for Season 2 drops. The streets are humming, the clues are moving, and Coffy Town is getting louder. Become a Citizen at CoffyTown.com and step inside the story.

Storytime with Lady: Players & Pearls at Club Surrender - Episode 3 "Ruby LaRoux"

Storytime with Lady: Players & Pearls at Club Surrender — Episode 3 “Ruby LaRoux” Written by Jessica Holter Welcome back to Coffy Town, where the lights burn low, the secrets run deep, and the truth moves like perfume through the corridors of Club Surrender. This is Episode Three of our Black Noir radio theater series, Players & Pearls at Club Surrender, on Storytime with Lady. And yes, sugar — that’s me. Seamstress to the sparkling jewels of Coffy Town, Concierge of Lady’s Room, and owner of Lady’s Presents. Storytime with Lady is part of the Holter Intellectual Property Curriculum, a 501c3 initiative for creative efficacy and edutainment. The script and songbook by Jessica Holter are available in print through CoffyBooks.com, forming the foundation of a modular narrative engine that bridges digital storytelling with live venue experiences. Where We Left Off Curiosity and suspicion drifted like guilty dust motes through Club Surrender as one question hung under an empty spotlight: Where is Ruby? Ruby LaRoux — the club’s headliner, Lucy Sapphire’s protégée, and the last daughter of a long artistic lineage — vanished without warning after her first song. Lucy was forced to come out of retirement, and I had no choice but to call the one man Ruby trusted with her life: Detective Jimmy. What Happens in Episode Three Detective Jimmy arrives at Club Surrender only to find that the Players and Pearls of Coffy Town are as resistant as they are resilient. Everyone has something to protect — their pride, their position, their secrets — and a missing‑person case is the last thing they want interfering with the show. Meanwhile, Funky John sees opportunity in the chaos. With the club’s survival hanging by a thread, he moves to reclaim the spotlight he lost years ago, hoping to undo the damage he caused when he was Lucy’s leading man. This chapter deepens the mystery, sharpens the stakes, and pulls Jimmy — and the audience — deeper into the labyrinth of loyalties, lies, and long‑buried truths that define Club Surrender. Welcome to Players & Pearls at Club Surrender — Storytime with Lady, Episode Three. Why This Episode Resonates Now We live in a time shaped by conspiracy, contradiction, and the search for truth beneath the noise. Noir isn’t just a genre — it’s a language for the moment. Episode Three taps into that urgency, revealing how communities respond when the spotlight shifts and the truth threatens to surface. Storytime with Lady: Players & Pearls at Club Surrender — Episode 1: Lady’s World (Chapters 1–6)

Storytime with Lady — Official Series Description (Curriculum + Timeliness + Sellability) Storytime with Lady is where Black Noir storytelling, immersive performance, and community ritual meet on the mic — and where a new era of narrative innovation quietly begins. Created by writer and poet Jessica Holter, this series is part of the Holter Intellectual Property Curriculum, a 501c3 initiative dedicated to creative efficacy, cultural literacy, and edutainment. More than a podcast, Storytime with Lady is the pilot for a modular narrative engine designed to bridge the gap between digital storytelling and live venue experiences. Lady — bathroom attendant, healer, hustler, and truth‑teller of Coffy Town — first appeared in Holter’s book Verbal Penetration (The Punany Poets), published by Zane. Now she returns with a locked script, a full original soundtrack (Trap‑Cabaret / Noir House), and a world that unfolds across audio, performance, and recurring real‑world events. Why Storytime with Lady Matters in This Moment We are living in an age shaped by mystery, misinformation, conspiracy, and the hunger for truth beneath the noise. Noir is no longer a genre — it’s a mirror. Storytelling is no longer passive — it’s participatory. And audiences are no longer satisfied with single‑channel narratives — they want worlds they can enter, feel, and return to. Storytime with Lady meets this moment with: Black Noir intimacy that speaks to the emotional truth behind the headlines A narrative architecture built for both headphones and live stages A curriculum‑driven mission that uses art to teach, heal, and build community A soundtrack‑powered atmosphere that turns every chapter into a cinematic experience A modular design that allows characters, clues, and storylines to evolve across mediums This is storytelling engineered for now — and for what comes next. Part 1: Lady’s World — Chapters 1–6 Performed in Lady’s unmistakable voice — warm, wise, weary, and wickedly observant — Part 1 introduces the first six chapters of the Players & Pearls at Club Surrender Script & Songbook. Travel with Lady from a trap‑house theater in Hotlanta to the shuttered doors of Club Surrender, where love, lies, loyalty, and live performance collide. Meet the women who hold the city together — Lucy, Ruby, Bettie, Scarlet Falls, Unpimpable Missy, Sarah‑Sarah — and the men who complicate everything: Funky John, Detective Jimmy, Pete Prayer, and the VIP Players who keep the lights low and the secrets loud. Included in Part 1: Chapter 1: Lady on Location — A surreal night of immersive theater that changes everything. Chapter 2: The Sister Circle — A confrontation becomes a healing ritual only women can conjure. Chapter 3: Lucy Running on Empty — A daughter, a legacy, and a club on the brink. Chapter 4: Planting Seeds — Confessions, warnings, and the quiet beginnings of trouble. Chapter 5: Show Night — The Players take the stage, the Pearls shine, and Coffy Town holds its breath. Chapter 6: Booker T Poet in the Chat — A poet slides into the chat and stirs the pot. A New Kind of Narrative Experience Storytime with Lady is the foundation of a hybrid storytelling ecosystem that includes: A locked, professionally structured script A full original soundtrack blending Trap‑Cabaret and Noir House Recurring live events and performance‑based activations A modular narrative engine designed for expansion into theater, XR, and community programming This is not just a story — it’s a system. A curriculum. A cultural technology. A living world. For Listeners Who Crave More If you love mystery, sisterhood, immersive fiction, and the kind of storytelling that feels like a whispered confession in a bathroom mirror… Lady is waiting. The doors to Club Surrender are open. Come on in. AI USE POLICY Coffy Town Radio Theater uses AI as a creative tool. All scripts, voices, characters, and music — including AI‑generated elements — ar

The Water with Emcee Skawla Valentine’s Day Teaser for Players & Pearls

The Water with Emcee Skawla Valentine’s Day Teaser for Players & Pearls Emcee Skawla is back on The Water, broadcasting live on Valentine’s Day in Coffy Town — a night when the streets feel sweeter, the clubs feel warmer, and the secrets feel closer to the surface. She’s hosting tonight, and she can feel it in her bones: something funny is brewing in Coffy Town, something she can’t quite name yet, but the wind is carrying hints. Skawla keeps the vibe light, playful, and romantic, but she’s watching the corners. Club Surrender is unusually quiet. The Pearls are rehearsing behind closed doors. The Players are moving like they know something the rest of the city doesn’t. And Skawla, ever the pulse‑reader, knows this Valentine’s Day isn’t just about roses and reservations — it’s the calm before a story breaks open. This episode serves as the first whisper of what’s coming in Season 1: Players & Pearls at Club Surrender. Skawla doesn’t spill anything — she just lets the Citizens feel the shift with her. A tease. A tremor. A wink. If you’re tuning in for the first time, this is the perfect moment to step into Coffy Town. The mystery is warming up, and Skawla is already on the mic, ready for whatever comes next.

The Water with Emcee Skawla - Episode 2

Emcee Skawla returns to The Water with that cool, clear broadcast Coffy Town depends on when the streets start whispering. This week, she calls out the human auditions opening across the city, the closed‑club rehearsals happening behind the velvet curtains of Club Surrender, and the rising tension around who gets to shape the story next. Skawla speaks directly to The Writer, reminding her — and us — that narrative power is a dangerous thing to hold and an even harder thing to share. While holding down the lingering mystery of Players & Pearls, Skawla introduces two Voices of Foster Care favorites: • “Boxes” by Brown Viking — a percussive confession about what we carry and what carries us • “Secondhand Wings” by Foster Child Unknown — a soaring anthem for anyone learning to fly without a map Coffy Town is shifting. The Rebels are restless. The Citizens’ Circuit is growing. And Skawla stays ready, weaving music, memory, and meaning into a broadcast that feels more like a warning than a report. If you’re new to the city, now is the time to catch up on Season 1: Players & Pearls at Club Surrender before the Sneak Peek for Season 2 drops. The clues are already moving. The Water with Emcee Skawla: Episode 1

COFFY TOWN Episode 1 – The Water with Emcee Skawla Emcee Skawla opens the very first episode of The Water with a pulse straight from the heart of Coffy Town: Coffy House Gospel Music rising through the speakers like a warning and a blessing. The city is humming, the clubs are shifting, and Skawla is right where she belongs — on the mic, reading the room before the room even knows what it feels. Tonight, she breaks the news that Sarah Sarah has ended her tour abruptly and is already back home in Coffy Town. No press release, no spectacle — just a quiet return that has the whole city leaning in. Fans are whispering. Promoters are guessing. And Skawla is connecting the dots in real time, sensing the early tremors of the story that’s about to unfold. As she spins Gospel House classics and deep cuts from the Coffy House vault, Skawla frames Sarah Sarah’s homecoming as more than a headline — it’s a shift in the city’s spiritual weather. Club Surrender is warming up. The Players are circling. The Pearls are polishing. And the narrative currents are already moving beneath the surface. This is the broadcast that sets the stage for everything to come — the energy, the mystery, the music, and the tension that will eventually ignite Season 1: Players & Pearls at Club Surrender.
