[…] And Paul essentially went in and made music with these black musicians, came home and made this album, Graceland, that in turn, people heard this music for the first time, they're like, what is that? And it made people curious about South Africa to the point where they wanted, they're like, wait, there's apartheid, what's that? And black people can't do this, what? And because this music made them feel so good, they got curious about the politics and about the injustices there. And next thing you know, like people started protesting around the world.
