E15 - The Power of Kindness In Conscious Leadership With Clarissa Rodriguez

In this conversation, we sit down with a former commissioner and lawyer to explore what it truly means to navigate spirituality in spaces that often reject it. From being raised in a school that prepared her for a life as a nun, to choosing a different path at 18, her journey takes us through moments of distance from spirituality—and the profound return to it after the passing of her father and cousin. These pivotal experiences reopened a deeper connection that would ultimately reshape how she shows up in the world. We dive into the challenges she faced in the legal profession, where qualities like kindness, compassion, and love are often seen as weaknesses. In an environment that demanded toughness, she struggled to reconcile who she was with who she was expected to be. Over time, she came to understand that her purpose wasn’t to conform—but to lead differently, to be a light in spaces that needed it most. The conversation also explores generational influences, including her family’s complex spiritual background. She shares stories about her mother’s upbringing under a grandmother who practiced channeling—connecting with both light and dark energies—and how those experiences created fear, shaping her family’s relationship with spirituality. This episode touches on:- Spiritual identity and rediscovery  - Leadership through authenticity and compassion  - Navigating fear and discernment in spiritual spaces  - The intersection of power, profession, and purpose A thought-provoking episode filled with wisdom, depth, and real-life insight into what it means to live spiritually—no matter the environment.

In this episode, we come together for a conversation about anchoring into our own light and learning to feel truth within the body. We explore what it means to truly know ourselves beyond fear-based spiritual conditioning, especially for those who grew up experiencing spirituality through guilt, pressure, or fear. We reflect on the deeper purpose of being on Earth — not to resist life, complain about its challenges, or question why things feel hard, but to fully experience. Through breath, presence, and embodiment, we remember that when we feel lost or disconnected from purpose, we can always return inward — anchoring back into our life, our body, and our light. This conversation is an invitation to soften, to remember who you truly are, and to stand rooted in your own truth as you navigate the human experience. E1 - The Journey That Shattered Doubt And Rekindle Our Connection To God

Growing up in Haiti, the church was supposed to be a place of guidance. While we did get great wisdom from our religion, we also found many inconsistencies: Judgment instead of compassion. Fear of hell instead of Christ’s message of love. Sermons on spiritual warfare while the daily behavior of church members told a different story. And woven through it all were deep cultural traditions, unspoken rituals, and spiritual entities that didn’t fit cleanly into the version of Christianity we were taught. In this episode, we revisit our childhood in the Catholic Church and Haitian culture — the beliefs we inherited, the inconsistencies that pushed us away, and how losing our connection to God eventually led us back to spirituality in a completely different way. This conversation explores: Growing up Catholic in Haiti How judgment, fear, and spiritual warfare shaped our early faith The tension between Christianity and Haitian cultural spirituality Losing our connection to God — and unexpectedly finding it again How these experiences led us to create this podcast What it means to find a more universal and inclusive spirituality If you’ve ever questioned the religion you were raised in, wrestled with contradictions, or felt yourself being pulled toward a more expansive relationship with the Divine, this episode will feel like coming home.
