"Lacking" • Thanks, But No Thanks: Part One

It’s easy to focus on what’s missing and miss the good that’s right in front of us. In Part 1 of “Thanks, But No Thanks,” we’re talking about gratitude, the feeling that there’s never enough, and trusting God as a generous provider. There’s good in this season that won’t be in the next one. Are we taking the time to notice it?

"Bigger Impact" • Marks of the Movement: Part 5

We all want to live a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and secure. But Jesus taught that the pursuit of more money and possessions will never get us there. In the final week of Marks of the Movement, Lou explores Jesus’ parable of the rich fool in Luke 12 and one of the most challenging characteristics of the early church: countercultural generosity. What does it mean to be rich toward God? Why does generosity matter? And how can giving become one of the most practical ways to grow our faith? Through the teachings of Jesus, the example of the early church, and a personal story about an unexpected opportunity to give, we discover that generosity isn't just about what we give away. It's about learning to trust God and investing in something bigger than ourselves. The impact we make as a church is directly connected to our willingness to embrace countercultural generosity.

"Always Facing" • Marks of the Movement: Part 4

For a sunflower, the sun is everything. Its light sustains it, helps it grow, and gives it life. We were made to live facing God in that same way. This week in Marks of the Movement, we explore what it means to live facing him. Drawn by his greatness and goodness, and responding to the love of a God who already faces us. Love the Lord, and you’ll live. Keep your face toward him.
