Welcome to Confessions of a Lost Soul — the podcast where we talk about what most people are scared to say out loud: feeling lost, lonely, overwhelmed, disconnected… or just human.
I’m your host, Christopher James. Each week you’ll hear real, unfiltered confessions — sometimes solo, sometimes with guests.
No perfection. No pretending.
Just honest venting, emotional unpacking, and a reminder that you’re not as alone as you think.
Hey — it’s Christopher. You’re not alone.
Confession #024: I'm Done Waiting for Life to Start
I realized I've been waiting for life to start.
In this episode of Confessions of a Lost Soul, I talk about spending a month in San Diego after our original moving plans changed and how easy it is to accidentally put life on hold while waiting for certainty. Instead of treating this month as a placeholder, I'm trying to live like a local, get outside my comfort zone, and remind myself that life is happening right now — not someday when everything is figured out.
This is a real conversation about uncertainty, slowing down, and learning to stop waiting for permission to enjoy your life.
No perfection. No pretending. Just the messy middle of building a life before everything is figured out.

Confession #023: Life Doesn’t Care About Your Plans
I had a plan — and then life changed it.
In this episode of Confessions of a Lost Soul, I talk about preparing to move to California with a job lined up, only for my nurse practitioner license to take longer than expected and leave everything feeling uncertain. Instead of driving across the country with all our things, we put the full move on hold and flew out to spend the month in San Diego.
This is a real conversation about disappointment, flexibility, timing, and learning that plans can change without meaning you failed. Sometimes life does not follow your timeline — and sometimes the best thing you can do is adapt, breathe, and let life life.
No perfection. No pretending. Just the messy middle of changing plans and still moving forward.

Confession #022: When Your Bedroom Is Your Only Sanctuary
In this episode of Confessions of a Lost Soul, I talk about the emotional reality of living with family when it is not fully by choice. The gratitude, the frustration, the lack of privacy, the bedroom-as-your-only-sanctuary feeling, and the quiet shame of wanting independence but not being able to fully afford it yet.
This is not about blaming parents. It is about being honest that support can be a gift and still feel emotionally hard.
No perfection. No pretending. Just real talk about adulthood, money, independence, and wanting a life that feels like your own.
