160 - AI Is Smart. Are We Still Thinking?

We used to ask Google for information. Now we ask AI for answers. But what happens when convenience becomes dependency? AI can write, summarize, recommend, and even advise. The question isn't whether AI is smart. The question is whether we're still exercising the discernment, wisdom, and critical thinking that make us human. In this episode of Confidence Restored, we explore how to maintain self-trust and sound judgment in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. Join us as we discuss the balance between leveraging powerful technology and preserving the discernment, wisdom, and critical thinking needed to navigate life with confidence. 159 - Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace

In this episode of Confidence Restored, we explore what it means to speak up when it would be easier to stay silent. Inspired by a recent news story about an AI researcher, Jacob Coxon, who resigned from a major artificial intelligence company and publicly warned about the potential dangers of rapidly advancing technology, we examine a question that reaches far beyond AI: What happens when people with knowledge, influence, or insight choose not to speak? At first, the warnings about the future of AI sparked fear. But as I reflected, my thoughts turned to the story of Esther. Like Esther, many of us find ourselves in positions where we can see problems unfolding around us. We may be tempted to remain silent out of fear, comfort, self-preservation, or uncertainty about the outcome. Mordecai's challenge to Esther in Esther 4: 13-14 remains relevant today: "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise from another place... And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Just like Esther, we must decide whether we will remain silent or step into our calling. Because for such a time as this, God may be calling us to do the right thing, speak the truth, and use our voice to bring hope, wisdom, and change. If God gave you a vision, He also gave you a voice. Don't let fear silence what God intends to use. Watch & Subscribe on YouTube Catch the live replay that was recorded and released on Thursday, September 10th. 158 - Growing Through It: Discernment, Wisdom & Hidden Motives Featuring Tammy Gaitor (Part 2)

How do you know when God is warning you about something? How do you develop discernment when life gets complicated? In Part 2 of this powerful conversation, Tammy Gator and Tomeria Jordan dive deep into the topics of wisdom, discernment, boundaries, spiritual maturity, and learning how to recognize what isn't immediately visible. Drawing from personal experiences, biblical principles, and hard-earned life lessons, they unpack the difference between information and application, knowledge and wisdom, and feelings versus spiritual discernment. In this episode, we discuss: The difference between wisdom and discernment Why some of our greatest lessons come through difficult experiences How to recognize unhealthy patterns and hidden motives The importance of seeking God's guidance before seeking people's opinions Practical examples of discernment in relationships, friendships, and everyday life Why boundaries are not selfish but necessary How to stop ignoring what God has already been trying to show you Tammy offers a powerful framework: Discernment evaluates. Wisdom responds. Throughout this conversation, you'll be challenged to examine your choices, your relationships, and the voices you're listening to most. If you've ever felt confused about a decision, questioned whether you should stay or go, or wondered how to hear God's direction more clearly, this episode is for you. Reflection Question: What situation in your life requires discernment before you take your next step?
