Don't Set Goals, Reflect and Become a Confident Creator

Don’t Set Goals, Reflect and Become a Confident Creator At the beginning of the year, we are constantly bombarded with “NEW YEAR, NEW YOU” bullshit. The second we turn the calendar to a new page, we feel pressured to overhaul our lives. We’re encouraged to set lofty goals, restrict ourselves, and follow someone else’s plan on how we can become our “best self.” This episode isn’t just a middle finger to this ideology (although in a way it is), it’s a reminder that we’re still in the dead of winter… and setting goals for what you want to do, without being clear on who you want to be, will leave you feeling lost and disappointed year-round. Today’s episode is created as guidance to help you reflect on the past year and intentionally create the life and artwork you desire. I have several questions and exercises that aren’t about HOW to perform, but instead how to listen to yourself, how you feel, and the impact that you want to create. I’m also sharing some of my own reflections, transitions, and desires to help inspire you to dream as big as you can! On this episode, we talk about: Giving yourself permission to celebrate your wins and treat your losses with comparison Letting old goals and dreams go to make room for the next version of yourself The questions you can ask yourself to create clarity on who you want to become The importance of grounding in your identity before trying to develop an action plan ❤️🔥Need more guidance? Structure Sparks Creativity

Structure Sparks Creativity I used to be terrified of structure. Any type of system or routine made me feel trapped… until I realized the power of being organized. Systems allow us to create within a container. They give us direction, a map to where our creativity can flow freely. This episode is an exploration of why structure is important - even for the Type B creative types! We’ll talk about why you might feel adverse to it, how to overcome the overwhelm, and what steps you can take to add some structure to your creative practice, projects, and social media content. On this episode we talk about: Why structure keeps you moving How having a lack of systems fosters overwhelm, not focus Overcoming decision paralysis Combining the power of action and discipline with systems so you can create confidently and freely How I use structure within my creative practice ❤️🔥Need more guidance? Be A Generous Artist & Share Your Work with Gratitude and Ease

Be A Generous Artist & Share Your Work with Gratitude and Ease Sharing your artwork can feel vulnerable and intimidating. You may be sitting on piles of finished pieces telling yourself “I’ll share when…” but you fall asleep at night knowing you are not living up to your potential. In today’s episode, we talk about why sharing your work from a place of generosity is the key to becoming confident in creating and sharing your work. Not only do we discuss what generosity is and how you can express it, but we also talk about the cost of hoarding your work spiritually and creatively. Tune in to today’s episode of CCC to tap into the spirit of appreciation so you can share the work you were born to create and inspire those who need to hear your story. On this episode we talk about: What it means to be a generous artist Why you feel like you cannot share your work How to overcome the fear of being seen and embrace the role your artwork can take in someone else’s life Letting go of expectations of what you want to happen so you can allow your work to find who needs to experience it What actions you can take today to act more generously and feel more grateful ❤️🔥Need more guidance?
