The Power of Podcasting with John McCarroll, John Zurzolo & Anthony Zurzolo

Elevating Safety, Anchoring Legacy with Premier Building Anchors What happens when tradesmen turn frustration into innovation? Out of past conversations on this very podcast, a new partnership emerged—one that’s raising the bar for safety and growth across Philadelphia’s skyline. In this episode of Constructing Greatness, Nick reconnects with Anthony and John Zurzolo and John McCarroll, whose earlier appearances remain among the show’s most downloaded. Since then, their journeys from window cleaning and construction management to entrepreneurship have led to the launch of Premier Building Anchors, a company already making a mark just 18 months in. They share how hard work, family values, and relentless drive turned a simple idea into a thriving enterprise that now supports dozens of employees and their families. More than anchors and inspections, their story is about responsibility, legacy, and proving that the trades can create wealth, opportunity, and community impact. Episode Takeaways: How a podcast conversation evolved into a business partnership and new company. Why entrepreneurship often feels like an addiction—and how to channel it into growth. The customer-first practices that helped scale Premier from a trade into a trusted brand. How creating jobs and supporting families fuels long-term motivation. Why safety failures aren’t an option in high-risk industries. How balancing growth with employee overtime builds loyalty. Why some building owners undervalue safety—and how to hold the line ethically. What legacy means for first-generation entrepreneurs and their kids. How the trades provide real alternatives to the college track. Why fast responsiveness can win more business than pricing battles. How recurring inspections create predictable revenue and stability. Where Premier Building Anchors aims to be in five years—and why they see national potential. […] In construction, safety is paramount. You want everybody who shows up to be able to go back home in the same condition that they did. Yep. Yeah. And that's that's that's another thing with like the safety going home every night. And that's a big thing to us. That's always been a big thing. And it will be forever. Like our guys going home to their families every night, making sure they're at their kids games and getting there and doing that. Because not for nothing, there's a lot of property managers and building owners out there that would rather a cheaper price than a safe building. And they're not worried about that man or woman that's hanging off their building. […]
