About Conversation with the Chris's

Hi, I’m Scott Miller—and I’ve got two friends named Chris. Sounds simple, but trust me, it makes for great conversations. Chris Byrum brings out my playful, lighthearted side. Chris Shirley? Well, he keeps us grounded (and yes, he really is that serious—so stop calling him Shirley). What started as game-day text threads turned into nonstop group chats… and now it’s a podcast. Conversations with the Chris’s is our weekly space to talk sports, faith, culture, and whatever random topic sparks a laugh—or a debate. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re just three guys enjoying life, sharing perspectives, and hopefully giving you a few laughs along the way. If nothing else, we promise to be the most entertaining cure for insomnia you’ll ever find.

Cowboys Draft Recap, Baylor Draft Picks, Texas Tech QB Drama, and Rangers Fan Fight

In this episode, Scott Miller, Chris Byrum, and Chris Shirley shake off the rust and dive deep into the latest Dallas Cowboys draft. Did the Cowboys finally get it right on defense? Can this class actually move the needle toward a Super Bowl run? The conversation covers draft strategy, key picks like Caleb Downs, and whether new coaching influence could reshape the defense. The guys also debate offensive outlooks, injury concerns, and what it’ll take for Dallas to stay competitive. Beyond the Cowboys, the episode shifts to Baylor Bears draft outcomes, under-the-radar players, and the uphill climb for undrafted talent trying to make an NFL roster. Plus, a candid discussion on a developing controversy at Texas Tech highlights the evolving—and sometimes messy—world of NIL and college athletics. To wrap things up, the crew lightens the mood with one of the wildest fan moments of the week—because sometimes sports drama happens off the field. Real talk, strong opinions, and a little bit of humor—just like old times.
