Woody, Buzz & a man who should never be allowed near a pedestrian crossing

Two studios. Two countries. Absolutely no adult supervision. BC is back in the NZ studio, MC is back in the shed… sorry, the UK studio, and Coom & Currie Sports Cards is once again providing absolutely no value to society. Unless you collect cardboard. In which case, this is essential listening. This week, the boys are covering: NFL NEWS & TRADE MADNESS – The latest results, the Seahawks making moves, and enough NFL chat to make your fantasy team regret every decision it has ever made. WOODY RIDING BUZZ? – Steady on, lads. It’s a family show. Just about. We discuss the latest Lorcana pickups and BC’s increasingly questionable cardboard addiction. MAIL DAYS & CODSWOLLOP – Big mail days bring big smiles, but BC’s latest Codswollop brings something altogether more concerning. Whatever you do, NEVER stop for this man at a pedestrian crossing. Especially if you’re wearing cleats. You have been warned. TOPPS NFL HERITAGE IS HERE – And naturally, MC has helped himself. Because apparently, leaving sealed product alone is no longer an option. THE GRADING DEBATE – Is it time for other grading companies to step out of the shadows and challenge the big boys? BC certainly thinks so. Expect opinions, passion, and absolutely no chance of a quiet discussion. CARD VENDING MACHINES AT AIRPORTS – Forget overpriced sandwiches and disappointing coffee. Give us slabs, blasters and impulse purchases at 30,000 feet. What could possibly go wrong? THE GOAT BAZA COLLECTS – An absolute legend of the hobby. In fact, we reckon his name should be changed to The GOAT Collects Cards. It’s only right. We don’t make the rules. NZ HOBBY NEWS & SPONSOR SHOUT-OUTS – There’s plenty happening in New Zealand, and what a time to be alive. Our sponsors Kiwi Card Collective have launched their brand-new website, while Swopsies are cooking with gas, announcing new partnerships left, right and centre. The hobby is moving, and these legends are right in the thick of it. All that, plus the usual nonsense, questionable opinions, cardboard worship and two grown men who really should know better by now. Follow the boys for the sports cards. Stay for the Codswollop. Pray for anyone wearing cleats at a pedestrian crossing. Coom & Currie Sports Cards. Episode 71. Out now. Night Shifts, Podcasting & a Seahawks Defeat! Cody is on the show!

EPISODE 70: STILL UP SPORTS & CCSC COLLAB — IS JSN THE GOAT? Seventy episodes in and we’re still talking absolute Codswollop. Some things never change. This week, BC sits down with Cody from Still Up Sports for an NFL-filled special, as we discuss all things football, podcasting, and the highs, lows and occasional existential crises that come with trying to make a podcast work. Unfortunately, BC is still coming to terms with the Seahawks being beaten by Cody’s Broncos. A result that has left him questioning life, football, and possibly the entire state of Colorado. Cody, naturally, is handling it with all the humility you’d expect from a Broncos fan who’s just beaten BC’s beloved Seahawks. We also chat about our journeys into podcasting, the trials and tribulations along the way, and why we keep turning up every week despite the questionable decisions, technical mishaps and questionable opinions. Meanwhile, Cody is absolutely smashing it over in America, taking on the night shift and giving the late-night crowd somewhere to talk NFL when sensible people should probably be asleep. A brilliant chat with a top bloke, plenty of laughs, and a question that needs answering: Is JSN the GOAT? Episode 70. What a show. Sponsored by Kiwi Card Collective and Swopsies.
