Asking for a Friend is the podcast where two real friends — a therapist and an HR professional — have the honest conversations women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s are already having in their heads. From rediscovering your identity beneath the roles you play, to setting boundaries, navigating reinvention, and caring for everyone but yourself — nothing is off limits and nothing is scripted. If you've ever felt lost in your own life and wondered who am I underneath all of this? — pull up a chair, you're not alone.
What do you do when the person you love is quietly falling apart, and you're the only one who sees it? Cori and former NFL linebacker Gary Plummer talk honestly about years of hidden concussion pain, the loss of his close friend Junior Seau, and the day Cori "tricked" him into a therapist's office and saved his life. You'll hear how they rebuilt their marriage around calm, yoga, and their "three-day rule." It's a moving, funny, and very real look at loving someone through a crisis without losing yourself.
(Content note: this episode covers mental health and suicide. Resources are shared at the end.)

The Charger Girl & The Linebacker
She was an 18-year-old San Diego Charger Girl and he was the mulleted linebacker she cheered for from the sidelines. Thirteen years later, both in the middle of divorces, they ran into each other again in front of an open garage full of teenage football players. This week, Corey and her husband, former NFL player and podcast producer Gary Plummer, swap the producer's chair for the hot seat to tell the funny, flirty story of their second-chance romance. Then the conversation turns serious as they open up about Gary's brain health, the loss of his teammate Junior Seau, and what happens to a marriage when life takes a turn you never saw coming.
Content note: This episode includes a discussion of suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available right now. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or chat at 988lifeline.org, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also text HOME to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. Outside the U.S., the International Association for Suicide Prevention maintains a directory of crisis centers at iasp.info/resources/Crisis_Centres. You don't have to be in crisis to reach out. If you're worried about someone else, these services can help you figure out what to say and do next.
The following are the steps I’ve taken over the last 10 years. All of the results involved ZERO medicines. Most of the doctors early on pushed the drugs. Which is just a byproduct of the business model not what’s best for your health.
I spent a week in Idaho at a place called A MIND FOR ALL SEASONS. check out their website because these guys have been improving brain health in people of all ages for over a decade. I’ve gone from an A1C of 5.9 to 5.1 in three months.
I’ve gone from sleeping an hours and a half or three hours at a time on a good night to sleeping an average of 6:45 to 7:15 every night. I went from having excruciating headaches for 13 years to having zero headaches in the last decade.
There have been many health benefits other than the brain from doing some simple things. I won’t list them in order of my discovery or efficiency because some things will work better for each individual.
*Yoga
*Meditation
*Listening to classical music(or whatever genre of music that calms
you)
*Eat less Sugar! I was told it would take 6 months to get my blood sugar level down to normal levels with medicine. How does that reduction happen? Close to zero alcohol( it rapidly raises blood sugar) I have 2 or 3 beers a month. Walk for 15 to 20 minutes within 30 minutes of eating any food. Turns out that reading food labels is actually a good thing. There are so many low sugar options. Yes eating things like fruit have a high glycemic index but they are high in fiber and nutrients which is why we need to walk for 15 minutes after eating anything. If you’ve never used a Freestyle Libre glucose monitor try it asap! You can literally see your blood sugar levels rise rapidly when you eat almost anything… however if you walk after eating it will not rise as high or stay high as long.

The Sexless Marriage: From His Side
"We never have sex anymore" might really mean "I miss feeling close to you," and in this episode, therapist Rosanne and Corey dig into what's going on underneath the angst, resentment, and silence in a marriage where intimacy has faded. Drawing on her viral post and real stories from her couples practice, Rosanne explains why men stop reaching out, how venting to friends can quietly push you further apart, and why women's desire often shows up differently than men's. It's honest and a little spicy, and it's a hopeful listen for any woman who's ready to stop feeling like a roommate running a household and start feeling like a couple again.
