About Cosmic Cubbyhole

Welcome to the Cosmic Cubbyhole, a weekly rendezvous filled with poetry, short stories, and occasional plays, hosted by artist and writer Simon Green. Nestled in a cupboard under the artist's stairs, each episode offers an escape from the ordinary into the cosmic. Explore whimsical Northern English humor in tales featuring Drive-by Porkpies, Disembodied Noses, and the notorious Yorkshire Nasher—an eccentric octogenarian cannibal targeting greedy landlords. Embark on wild adventures—a kleptomaniac turned leaf blower, hang-gliding with Fred Dibnah, and inverted dives a la Maverick and Goose. Join us for delightful tales of a world where a Robin Relyant three-wheeler hits 110mph, aided by racing pigeons and a magical chewing gum that enriches vocabulary. Join us in the Cosmic Cubby Hole for these and more captivating stories! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy (https://acast.com/privacy) for more information.

   Gale Eats Worms

In Gale Eats Worms, we meet Gale, a peculiar team mentor who’s known for her odd habit of eating worms right in the staff room. Her colleagues, puzzled by her unconventional lunch and apparent lack of work ethic, wonder how she got promoted over more diligent workers. As Gale munches away, worms twisting in her lunchbox, the narrator’s frustrations reveal more about office politics than they do about Gale’s eccentricities. Hosted on Acast.
