The Kentucky Goblin: The Kelly-Hopkinsville incident
The Fringe files
The Night Kentucky Fought Back Against the Unknown
On a pitch-black August night in 1955, a quiet farmhouse in rural Kelly, Kentucky, became ground zero for a terrifying, four-hour siege. Eleven witnesses—experienced country folks familiar with local wildlife and firearms—endured a harrowing standoff with physical, glowing, metallic entities entirely immune to gunfire. When the terrified family fled to the local police station, a massive joint response from state troopers and military police from nearby Fort Campbell kicked into gear, uncovering clear evidence of a chaotic battle for survival.
Was this a massive case of mistaken identity involving local wildlife, or did something genuinely unexplainable touch down in Kentucky that night? In this episode of The Fringe Files, we bypass the Hollywood myths, clear away decades of skepticism, and dive deep into the official records, witness consistency, and undeniable physical evidence left behind.
In this episode, we break down:
The Standoff: The hour-by-hour timeline of the physical confrontation at the Sutton farmhouse.
The Official Response: Why local law enforcement, state police, and military investigators took the incident completely seriously.
The Aftermath: The intense public ridicule and pressure that ultimately forced an entire family to abandon their home.

Unwitting Testing, Alpha-Gal, and the Shadow of Government Experimentation the Lone Star Tick
What if one tick bite could change your life forever? In this chilling episode of The Fringe Files, we investigate the disturbing rise of Alpha-Gal Syndrome (AGS), the mysterious allergy caused by Lone Star tick bites that leaves victims unable to eat red meat or mammal products.
But this story goes much deeper than ticks.
From Tuskegee and MKUltra to Operation Sea Spray and Cold War biological testing, we uncover the documented history of secret U.S. government experiments on unwitting citizens — and why that history fuels modern fears surrounding Alpha-Gal, biological vectors, and possible government experimentation.
Is the spread of Alpha-Gal Syndrome simply the result of climate change and exploding tick populations… or does history justify the public’s growing distrust?
This episode blends investigative journalism, paranormal-style storytelling, conspiracy history, medical mystery, and fringe theory in classic late-night radio fashion.
