[…] Then often they end in fire sale or some cases there were actual insolvencies. Dewey and Abarth is the closest comparison. But Dewey was a firm with systemic issues and many, many issues in terms of management and culture and liabilities. While in a conventional sense of the word, had none of that. What it appears to be is partly issues to do with culture, partly issues to do with the handover from Barry Wolf. I think it was not, it was a firm that was seen to not quite work out where it sat in the market. A lot of it is what you'd call for one of a better term, the post-Kirban effect. It's kind of mobile star culture, And a market where deals for top partners, you know, getting up to $20 million a year, $30 million a year for the biggest names. […]
