Courage & Purpose

About Courage & Purpose

This isn't a podcast about doing more. It's about becoming someone new. If you've hit every goal and still feel that quiet pull toward something you can't quite name — you're not lost, and you're not behind. You're in a season of reinvention. Each week, host Diana Ordonez — Certified High Performance Coach, Board Certified Coach, and founder of Life on Purpose Coaching — sits down with people who've burned the ships and rebuilt their lives from the ground up. And in between, it's just Diana and you, doing the inner work that has to come before the plan. Because the truth is, you already know what you want. What you need is the courage to become the person who has it. State before strategy. Purpose over comfort. Courage over certainty. lifeonpurposecoaching.substack.com (https://lifeonpurposecoaching.substack.com?utm_medium=podcast)

Ep 35: Be The Light — Thriving in Uncertainty

This episode has been sitting in my drafts since February. I kept questioning if I wanted to share my political views, whether it was contributing enough, and whether it even needed to be said. The world kept changing and things felt uncertain and I kept asking myself if I was ready. And then I realized: this is exactly the point of this conversation. Showing up imperfectly, being vulnerable, and moving forward even if you don’t feel ready. I sat down with my friend and fellow Certified High Performance Coach Shawn Buttner — host of the Input/Output Creator System for Experts podcast — to talk about something we’d been circling in our private coaching conversations for weeks: what do you actually do when the world feels like it’s on fire? How do you stay resourced? How do you keep showing up for the people who need you — without running yourself into the ground in the process? Somewhere in the middle of this conversation, I said something I didn’t plan to say: Looking for the good allows you to also be part of the good. That’s not a tagline. That’s something I’ve learned through putting it into practice — in the hard seasons, in the moments where it felt easier to scroll into despair and just stay there. It became the heartbeat of everything we talk about in this episode. In this episode, Shawn and I talk about: * Why your energy is contagious — and why that means it’s also your responsibility * The difference between a fight-or-flight reaction and a grounded response — and how to create space between them * Why the people who lead well in hard times don’t have it all figured out — they’ve just done the inner work first * What it actually looks like to show up as a leader when you don’t feel like one * Why we look to role models, not lectures — and what that means for how you’re showing up for your kids, your team, and your community * How to keep creating, keep coaching, keep showing up for your work — even when it feels small compared to everything happening in the world And the one thing I want to leave you with: Whatever your gift is — the art, the writing, the coaching, the teaching, the flowers, the code, the music — God didn’t give it to you to sit on it. Even now. Especially now. He and Diana meet regularly as coaching peers — and this conversation is what happens when two coaches stop talking behind the scenes and just hit record. If this episode resonated: The reset is not a one-time event. It’s a daily practice. And it’s a lot easier when you’re not doing it alone. That’s exactly why I built the Reset Collective — a free community for people who want to show up for their lives, their work, and the people they love, without running on empty. Every day, we check in: three wins, three gratitudes, one intention. Small. Consistent. Grounding. A way to practice looking for the good, together. Welcome Back to Courage & Purpose Podcast - Season 2

We’re back. And things look a little different around here — on purpose. If you’ve been here before, thank you for staying. If you’re new, I’m so glad you found this. This short episode is me pulling back the curtain on what this podcast is now, who it’s for, and why I’m more committed to this work than ever before. The Courage & Purpose Podcast is for ambitious, purpose-driven people in the middle of a reinvention — people who look successful on the outside and feel a quiet pull toward something they can’t quite name on the inside. Not a career change. Not a rebrand. A deeper shift. An identity-level reinvention. That’s what we do here. We talk about the inner work that has to come before the strategy. The courage that has to come before the clarity. The identity shift that makes every next chapter actually possible. In this episode I share: * Why I’m relaunching this show — and what held me back from doing it sooner * Who this podcast is really for now * What you can expect going forward — solo episodes, guest conversations, and real talk about reinvention * Why I believe your gifts weren’t given to you to sit on — even now, especially now The first full episode drops July 3rd — and it’s one I’ve been sitting on since February. I think you’re going to feel it.
