181. What if it's time to stop following the script and start singing your own song? With Lucy Allen
What happens when you've built a successful career, everything looks great from the outside, but something inside tells you there's more?
In this episode, I sit down with mindset and leadership speaker Lucy Allen for a conversation full of hilarious stories, unexpected twists, and deeply personal moments about making the most of this one precious life.
From winning a TV game show to fund an overseas adventure to building a successful career in PR and marketing, Lucy has always had a knack for turning life's experiences into great stories.
But it was the heartbreaking loss of her mum that made her question what she really wanted from life and whether the career she'd worked so hard to build was still right for her.
Lucy shares the unexpected encounters, difficult decisions, and surprising twists that led her to build a business where she could finally be herself.
But even then, she discovered that being yourself and truly owning the value you bring aren't always the same thing.
It's a conversation about questioning the path you're on, backing yourself, and creating a life that feels more like you.
And stay till the end for an impromptu treat!
Key takeaways:
o What happens when the career you've worked so hard to build no longer feels right.
o How to recognise the gifts you might be overlooking because they come so naturally.
o Where to begin when you know you want something different but have no idea where to start.
o What keeps us clinging to the familiar, even when we desperately want to move forward.
o How waiting for one thing to happen can keep everything else on hold.
o What changes when you stop trying to fit someone else's expectations of who you should be.
o Why even successful, confident women can struggle to recognise what makes them extraordinary.

180. What if midlife is the start of your sexiest years yet? With Lisa Fitzpatrick
What if midlife was something to look forward to knowing your best years are yet to come.
In this episode, I sit down with physiotherapist and pelvic and sexual health educator and author Lisa Fitzpatrick for a refreshingly open conversation about midlife, our bodies, intimacy, ageing, and what happens when we start paying attention to what our bodies might be telling us.
We explore why midlife can bring old stories, unresolved experiences, and parts of ourselves we’ve pushed down bubbling back to the surface, and the connection between what’s happening physically and what might be going on elsewhere in our lives.
We also go into territory women aren’t always encouraged to talk about openly: Intimacy after 50, pelvic health, feeling safe in relationships, and the beliefs many of us have absorbed about becoming less sexy, desirable, or relevant as we age.
Lisa shares how her own experience of heartbreak during menopause challenged many of those beliefs and forced her to look differently at her body, her relationships, and herself.
And we explore why this stage of life doesn’t have to be about decline at all…and what might become possible when consider our best and sexiest years are ahead of us.
Key takeaways:
o What your body might be telling you beyond “it’s just menopause”.
o Why midlife can bring buried stories and unresolved experiences bubbling to the surface.
o The connection between feeling safe and what happens in your body.
o What women are rarely told about intimacy and pelvic health after 50.
o Why questioning the stories you’ve absorbed about ageing can change what feels possible.
o Why menopause is not merely a hormonal event, rather a profound threshold.
o Why your 50s could be when you feel your best and come fully alive.

179. What happens after you do the big thing? With Kim Payne
What happens after you finally do the thing you’ve dreamed about, worked towards, and poured everything you have into?
In this episode, I take you behind the scenes of what happened after one of my biggest dreams, my Someday to TODAY event, became real, and what I discovered when I finally came back down to earth.
Because there’s a side to doing big things we don’t talk about nearly enough.
I walk through the incredible high, the physical and emotional crash that followed, and how my inner critic turned a handful of tiny logistical comments into a reason to question the entire thing.
I share what happens when adrenaline disappears and why high achievers and perfectionists can be particularly vulnerable to the post-achievement crash.
And why the moments immediately after doing something courageous may NOT be the best time to critique how you went.
And once you’ve rested, recalibrated, and allowed yourself to appreciate what you’ve achieved... how are you going to leverage it?
Whether you’ve run an event, finished a huge project, launched something, stepped onto a stage, shared something vulnerable, or finally done something you’ve been putting off, this episode invites you to think differently about what comes next.
Because doing the big thing might not be the finish line, instead it might just be the starting point.
Key takeaways
o Why the emotional crash can come after you do the courageous thing, even when you nail it.
o What your inner critic can do when adrenaline, exhaustion, and perfectionism collide.
o Why waiting for things to settle can change what success, or the feedback, really means.
o The question that can turn one big moment into something with a much bigger ripple effect.
o Why doing the thing isn’t enough and what we often forget to do once it’s done.
