Love Activates
Galatians 3:7–9 NKJV Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 NLT For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity* in you. 11Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. This is how we activate the blessing to enrich. The Greek definition of “enriched” ploutizō Pronounced: ploo-TID-zo To enrich or increase in abundance. To cause someone to abound in resources. To furnish someone abundantly with what is needed. Notice the words “so that.” God’s enrichment is connected to a purpose: “so that you can always be generous.” LOVE ACTIVATES THE BLESSING Deuteronomy 28:1–14, NKJV “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: 3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. 4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. 7 “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. 9 “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. THE LOVE CONNECTION John 13:34–35 NKJV “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 15:12 NKJV “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Romans 13:8-10 NKJV 8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Galatians 5:13-14 NKJV For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself. BORN TO LOVE 1 John 3:14, NKJV We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. Hebrews 8:10, NKJV For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Romans 5:5, NKJV Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. FORGIVENESS Ephesians 4:32, NKJV And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Isaiah 43:25, NKJV “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins. Hebrews 8:12, NKJV For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 1 Peter 3:8-12 NKJV Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. 11 Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” The post Love Activates (https://www.covenantlifecc.org/love-activates/) first appeared on Covenant Life Church (https://www.covenantlifecc.org).

Building Today, Harvesting Tomorrow
Partners in the Harvest Nehemiah 2:18, NKJV And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work. What a partner is We come together because we believe in the same purpose. We serve together Share together Win together Are rewarded together. Partnership is the power of people joining together in a common vision, combining their faith, time, talents, and resources to accomplish something greater together than they could accomplish alone.” A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY You pray for this church, for this city, and for the people who will walk through these doors. Everyone has a part to play in accomplishing the vision. James 5:16b AMP …The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. Philippians 1:3- 5 (NLT) Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. 4 Whenever I pray, I make my requests forall of you with joy, 5 for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. 6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. 1 John 5:14–15 NKJV Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” A PARTNER SOWS Every month you give what the Holy Spirit tells you to give. Large or small, it matters and is important, the amount is between you and Him. Partnership means that we are not simply giving toward a building project; we are joining together to build lives, reach the next generation, and sow seeds that can produce a harvest for years to come. Each one experiences victory We intentionally pray over our members & partners. HOW TO START 01 Ask first. I’m seeking God about change I have direction on my first step. For me it was $2.50 02 Name your harvest. Write down in detail what your believing God for. Every time you sow, mix faith with it. In everything give thanks. 03 Sign up. 04 Release Faith, every time you sow. 2 Corinthians 9:5–15, NLT So I thought I should send these brothers ahead of me to make sure the gift you promised is ready. But I want it to be a willing gift, not one given grudgingly. 6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”* 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”* (This is eternal) 10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity* in you. ENRICHED IN EVERY WAY 2 Corinthians 9:11 NLT Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. This is how we activate the blessing to enrich. The Greek definition of “enriched” ploutizō Pronounced: ploo-TID-zo To make rich or wealthy. To enrich or increase in abundance. To cause someone to abound in resources. To furnish someone abundantly with what is needed. Genesis 12:2, NKJV “I will bless you … And you shall be a blessing.” God’s blessing on Abraham was not intended to end with Abraham. He was blessed to become a blessing to others. When God supplies seed: We have something to sow. When He multiplies that seed, our capacity to give can increase. And when others are helped through our generosity, thanksgiving rises to God. Come Let Us Build
The Power of Partnership We build God’s Kingdom together, we build a strong financial future through faithful sowing we build with eternity in mind. Nehemiah 2:17–18, NKJV Then I said to them, “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.” 18 And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work. God has called us to build something that is bigger than any one of us. 1. BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING Genesis 12:2 NKJV I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 2. COME LET US BUILD. Jesus said upon this rock I will build my church. Build you life upon the rock Matthew 16:18, NKJV And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Building as one!! 1 Chronicles 29:3–9, NLT “And now, because of my devotion to the Temple of my God, I am giving all of my own private treasures of gold and silver to help in the construction. This is in addition to the building materials I have already collected for his holy Temple. 4 I am donating more than 112 tons of gold* from Ophir and 262 tons of refined silver* to be used for overlaying the walls of the buildings 5 and for the other gold and silver work to be done by the craftsmen. Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the Lord today?” 6 Then the family leaders, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the generals and captains of the army,* and the king’s administrative officers all gave willingly. 7 For the construction of the Temple of God, they gave about 188 tons of gold, 10,000 gold coins, 375 tons of silver, 675 tons of bronze, and 3,750 tons of iron. 8 They also contributed numerous precious stones, which were deposited in the treasury of the house of the Lord under the care of Jehiel, a descendant of Gershon. 9 The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord, and King David was filled with joy. THE TWO MITES Mark 12:41–44, NLT Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. 42 Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins.* 43 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. 44 For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.” Both equally important to Jesus Partnership is not everyone giving the same amount. It is everyone asking God, “What is my part?” When we work together, we can accomplish what none of us could accomplish alone. 3. PARTNER – WE ARE BUILDING FOR THE NEXT GENERATION Today, the harvest includes the children and teenagers in our community. It is estimated that approximately 43% of American Christians came to faith before age 13 Nearly two-thirds came to faith before age 18. We are not simply entertaining teenagers until they become adults. We are helping young people establish a faith that can carry them through the pressures, decisions, and challenges of life. Every child matters. Every teenager matters. Every family matters. We may never know the full reach of one seed planted in a child’s heart. Time period Approximate deaths worldwide Every second 2 Every minute 120 Every hour 7,200 Every day 173,000 Every year 63 million The worship is over. The service is just beginning. As long as the Earth remains, seedtime and harvest will continue as long as the earth remains. (Genesis 8:22 NKJV) “I cannot expect a harvest in a field where I have never sown, and I cannot expect to grow in generosity without learning to sow.” Holy Spirit, what do You want me to do?” The post Come Let Us Build (https://www.covenantlifecc.org/come-let-us-build/) first appeared on Covenant Life Church (https://www.covenantlifecc.org).
