Feasting with Jesus: Feasting at Midnight (October 18, 2026)
Feasting at Midnight Questions: Coming soon!
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus often spends time telling stories and sharing wisdom around the table. To invite Jesus to dinner is to guarantee the conversational menu will be both unpredictable and nourishing…at least for those who need the food he offers. When Jesus is confronted with his own hunger, he responds with these words in the wilderness: “It is written: ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Matthew 4:4). Feasting with Jesus and with each other matters.
“It’s about what happens when we come together, slow down, open our homes, look into one another’s faces, listen to one another’s stories.” –Shauna Niequist, Bread and Wine
This fall we will “feast” our way through Luke’s Gospel as we sit down with Jesus to be nourished and filled. We’ll celebrate communion each week. For those up for the challenge, we’ll be setting the table for a few meals together.
