We Lit Peeps on FIRE?! 🔥 Tamales, Lasers & Neuropathy Plans | Episode 37
🔥 Apparently giving the Crack Me Up crew a torch and a basket full of Halloween candy was a terrible—or fantastic—idea. Episode 37 starts innocently enough with tamales, horchata, pink scrubs and Dr. K realizing that his homemade coffee habit may involve an alarming amount of heavy cream. Then somehow we end up lighting Halloween Peeps on fire in the podcast studio. Welcome to Crack Me Up. Aide's family recently made a massive batch of homemade tamales to help support a family member, which means Dr. K and Amber obviously had to become unofficial taste testers. Chicken, pork, horchata, chocolate horchata, menudo, pozole—the episode quickly turns into another food podcast while the crew debates whether “Tamales Every Day” should become an official WellnessOne policy. Wednesday is already taken, though. On Wednesdays, we wear pink. The bright pink WellnessOne scrubs are still getting reactions from patients, including one patient who immediately understood the Mean Girls reference because she once wore a halo brace to prom—and ended up marrying her prom date. Then Dr. K reveals his latest accomplishment: Instead of spending potentially thousands replacing equipment and chargers, Dr. K goes full repair-tech mode—researching batteries, voltage, connectors, chargers and soldering wires until WellnessOne goes from having laser equipment sitting unusable to having multiple units working again. Which leads into something much bigger: The team talks about patients dealing with numbness, balance problems and difficulty feeling their feet, along with Dr. K's upcoming training and conversations with other doctors who are already treating these types of cases. They also discuss what's next for the knee program, including Dr. K's upcoming certification seminar with orthopedic and knee specialists, possible future hip applications, balance training and the long-term possibility of adding a dedicated rehab area inside WellnessOne. So naturally, after discussing all of that… they set marshmallows on fire. A Halloween candy basket includes Frankenstein and pumpkin Peeps. Someone remembers there's a torch in the clinic. And suddenly Crack Me Up becomes a cooking show. The crew brûlées the Peeps, compares marshmallow-burning techniques, lights Frankenstein's monster on fire—which is strangely appropriate—and eventually starts combining the toasted marshmallows with cookies and chocolate to create improvised studio s'mores. At one point the legitimate question is asked: “Dr. K, how did your clinic burn down?” No clinics were harmed in the making of this episode. Episode 37 also includes: 🔥 The great debate over perfectly toasted vs. completely charred marshmallows 🫔 A ridiculous amount of homemade tamales ☕ Dr. K's 3,000-calorie heavy-cream realization 💗 More reactions to the Wednesday pink scrubs 🔧 Repairing WellnessOne's laser equipment instead of replacing it 🦶 Plans for expanding neuropathy care 🦵 What's next for the WellnessOne knee program 🎃 Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat plans 🐢 Dr. K surviving an overly enthusiastic Ninja Turtle at Trunk-or-Treat 🛴 Broken collarbones and questionable scooter decisions 🍬 Enough Halloween candy to fuel several more episodes 🔥 And possibly the beginning of a recurring segment where the crew lights random food on fire This is Crack Me Up at its finest: Real clinic conversations. Real people. Real patient care. And absolutely no guarantee that the podcast studio won't turn into a test kitchen. Dress Up These Complaints 😂 | King Triton, Seven Brew & Patient Wins
Welcome to the eight-pack abs episode of Crack Me Up.Dr. K, Amber, and Aide are getting ready for WellnessOne's Under the Sea Trunk-or-Treat, which means Dr. K is officially transforming into King Triton—complete with crown, trident, white hair, shiny pants and a costume chest that gives him the six-pack he's apparently been working toward his entire life. The beard, however, may have accidentally turned King Triton into Santa Claus at the beach. Before the costumes even get going, Dr. K arrives with a fresh grievance:The Seven Brew line.He chooses the wrong lane and watches roughly eight to ten cars move ahead of him, leading to a surprisingly deep conversation about why people love complaining about insignificant things.Maybe complaining about coffee lines is easier than dealing with the actual problems in life. And just like that, Crack Me Up accidentally becomes philosophical. For about three minutes. The crew also talks about women being overlooked professionally, weird continuing-education experiences, giant corporate businesses replacing local businesses, private equity creeping into healthcare, car washes, Walmart chiropractic, insurance plans—and why sometimes the difference between personalized healthcare and an assembly line matters. Then thankfully somebody changes the subject before this turns into a business podcast.Because we have patient wins. One of WellnessOne's newer patients is a professional-style wrestler dealing with years of punishment from slams, turnbuckles, running the ropes and other wrestling injuries. He's just getting started with care, but the team is already excited about what might be possible for him.And yes, the most important unanswered question remains:What is his wrestling name? The two sisters doing cervical decompression are also reporting improved neck range of motion. One of them realized that while driving, she can now simply turn her head instead of having to reposition her whole body to look behind her. Then there's the patient we've been waiting for:The polka dancer. He went dancing with his wife. And not only did he make it through—he outlasted her. This is especially meaningful because earlier in care, simply sitting down required him to brace himself and carefully lower his body because of the discomfort. Now the team is watching him sit normally, walk more upright, and move dramatically better than when he started. Another low-back patient who previously had glute and leg symptoms is walking more steadily and transitioning toward maintenance care. And one of the clinic's favorite patients continues regaining her independence—driving herself again and, on her latest visit, showing up without her cane. That's the stuff that matters. Not just whether someone's pain score changed—but whether they can turn their head while driving, dance with their spouse, walk without limping, go somewhere without a cane, or simply move through everyday life without thinking about every single step.Of course, Episode 36 also includes:Dr. K arguing with the Seven Brew drive-thru, terrible windshields, absurdly bright Jeep light bars, Starbucks status levels, whether people secretly love having something to complain about, Shane Gillis and social-media outrage, Walmart chiropractic, HSAs, questionable business write-offs, a wrestler getting body-slammed, the ongoing mysterious hole outside WellnessOne, a smoking excavator, coffee-making techniques, and the realization that Dr. K may actually make a better coffee than Seven Brew. And somewhere in the middle of all of this, Dr. K spends an unreasonable amount of time holding his new trident.Like, share, subscribe—and leave your complaint in the comments. Bonus points if it's about Seven Brew.Hashtags#CrackMeUpPodcast #WellnessOne #KingTriton #TrunkOrTreat #SpinalDecompression #CervicalDecompression #PatientSuccess #SevenBrew #Chiropractic #LincolnNebraska

Plant Bingo, Pink Scrubs & Dr. K’s Sea King Costume 😂 | Episode 35
Episode 35 of Crack Me Up starts with an unexpected win: the podcast is actually ranking in search. On Spotify, the show is sitting at #2 for “non-surgical back pain,” #9 for “light-hearted jokes,” and it’s also showing up for spine health and other related searches. Not bad for a podcast that still regularly loses control of the microphone within the first few minutes. Then it’s time for a full recap of Plant Bingo. Amber and Aide both walk away winners, everybody gets plants, Dr. K gets an air plant that now needs its own weekly bath schedule, and the crew debates whether bingo needs a little more excitement—possibly drinks, gambling, or both. Before bingo, they stop at Corn Coast Brewery, get attacked by tiny biting bugs, and somehow Dr. K ends up ordering birria pizza in the middle of the episode because apparently food is now a required part of Crack Me Up. The pink scrubs are officially here too. On Wednesdays We Wear Pink is now happening at WellnessOne, and the crew tells the story of how their previous scrub company ended up in the metaphorical Burn Book after return and sizing issues. Naturally, Fabletics gets the redemption arc. Then comes one of the highlights of the episode: Dr. K’s Trunk-or-Treat costume. The theme is Under the Sea, and Dr. K is apparently going full Sea King / King Triton. We’re talking: - trident - white wig - crown - shiny pants - arm cuffs - a very aggressive fake six-pack - and a beard that may have accidentally turned the whole thing into Santa Claus The team also reveals plans for bubbles, jellyfish, treasure chests, gold coins, coral, balloons, and a themed QR-code offer for parents who stop by the WellnessOne trunk. But the best part of this episode is probably the patient wins. One patient realizes she can now go up and down stairs without pain, something she didn’t even notice until she suddenly did it normally. Another neck decompression patient is getting back more range of motion and starting to exercise again. Another patient who had been struggling to make morning appointments is doing better after the team adjusted his schedule to actually fit his life. There are more wins too: - a patient walking better after previously leaning forward constantly - someone getting back to activities on a trip without needing as much recovery afterward - a patient whose glute/leg pain has significantly decreased - another patient driving herself again and getting back some independence - and patients noticing improvements in each other before they even fully notice them themselves. The team also talks about something equally important: knowing when WellnessOne isn’t the right place to treat someone and helping point them toward the right next step instead. Sometimes helping means treating someone. Sometimes helping means saying, “This needs an MRI and a different kind of care.” And because no episode stays serious for long, Episode 35 also includes: Dr. K getting hangry, Amber saving roughly $1,500 by finding the right battery connector, a wrong-number phone call that somehow turns into a conversation anyway, birthday plants, acoustic panels, possible upcoming decompression training in Texas, Braves game talk, Google Lens for plants, and at least one joke about smelly plants turning into smelly patients. Coffee. Chaos. Chiropractic. Plants. Pink scrubs. And one very powerful trident. Like, comment, share and subscribe—and tell us: should Dr. K wear the full Sea King costume, beard and all? #CrackMeUpPodcast #WellnessOne #SpinalDecompression #PatientSuccess #PlantBingo #PinkScrubs #TrunkOrTreat #Chiropractic #LincolnNebraska #CoffeeChaosChiropractic
