What really goes into a Client Experience?
This show takes a closer look at client experiences and the different elements we use to help enhance and produce REAL transformation. Client Experiences are more than just a 'transaction', they can be a space and vehicle which allows people to make amazing quantum shifts in perspective, which ultimately leads to REAL change going forward. In shining a light on how client experiences look, we illustrate how self-care looks for our businesses. On this show we talk to industry leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs and thought leaders in the coaching and service industry spaces on how they are creating amazing client experiences in a post pandemic world. We talk about the challenges, as well as the wins and what lessons and takeaways can mean for us going forward. Whether your experiences are in person at retreats or events or are online or both, we want to talk to you!
Keep The Water Moving (part 1): Why Your Audience Dries Up When You Get Busy in Your Business
Alison begins a three-week series on building an audience and keeping connections active, especially for business owners filling retreats, programs, and other offers.
She discusses why audiences can seem to dry up when business gets busy. When we focus on delivering services, it is easy to pause outreach, posting, and other marketing. Once an offer ends, we may have to restart those efforts and rebuild familiarity and argues that audience building should remain a weekly priority, including during busy periods.
She goes on to explain that buyers may take longer to make decisions and may be watching before they reach out. People often don't buy because they don't understand an offer’s value or don't believe they can achieve its result. Clear, consistent marketing and messaging can help address these concerns and attract people who are a good fit.
Alison suggests choosing a communication rhythm that suits us—such as email, social media, newsletters, or podcasts—and keep showing up consistently. Busy periods can also provide useful client stories and examples to share, while honest communication during difficult periods can help people see us as real people.

Shifting From Being An Operator To An Owner with Ral West
Ral West describes her 45-year business career, beginning with a tourism marketing consultancy and later helping her husband run a scheduled charter airline between Alaska and Hawaii for 25 years. As the company grew, they carried most decisions themselves, worked long hours, and faced health and relationship strain, operational confusion, and customer complaints.
Ral says that studying business systems and management approaches helped them restructure the airline, improving procedures and staff training, and focused on the customer experience. About five years later, they were able to step away from daily operations and act as owners.
Ral’s coaching focuses on helping entrepreneurs move from doing every task to leading their businesses. She outlines six principles for running a business: systems, measuring and tracking performance, leverage through a team, intentional company culture, a capable team, and customer delight.
West works primarily through individualized virtual coaching, sometimes including a six-month program and an on-site business assessment. She assesses how a business operates and whether the owner’s mindset or processes need to change, then tailors the work to the client’s needs.
