We're Both a Bit Sick of Content Right Now | Creatively Random Ep.11

Welcome back to Season 2 of Creatively Random! To kick things off, we're talking about something we've both been feeling lately: content fatigue. Why it hits, what it actually means, and whether it's a sign to step back rather than push harder. In this one we get into short form vs. long form, the "brick in the wall" way we've been thinking about individual pieces of content, and why starting with something "wrong" is often how you find your way to the right idea. We also chat about limits and rituals, how social media is designed to keep you scrolling, and why we've both been trying to spend more time offline with physical media lately. No neat conclusions here, just us working through where we're at with content right now.Chapters:00:00 Introduction and personal updates00:16 Content fatigue and its effects00:40 Short form vs. long form content01:10 Intentionality in content consumption02:05 Purpose and mission in content creation03:00 Overcoming creative resistance, starting small04:06 The brick analogy for content pieces04:51 Limits and rituals in creativity06:11 How social media design shapes consumption habits06:46 Balancing content creation with personal fulfillment07:53 Strategies for sustainable content practices08:52 The value of offline activities and physical media10:02 Practical tips for overcoming creative blocks11:10 Closing thoughts and future plansCome be apart of the Creatively Random family here:https://www.creativelyrandom.com/ Or if you want to drop us a line you can get in touch through Instagram below or send us an email at hello@creativelyrandom.comSocials:https://www.instagram.com/creativelyrndm/https://www.tiktok.com/@creativelyrndmhttps://www.instagram.com/padraigos/https://www.instagram.com/mchlcrft/
