About Curated Coincidence — a style in progress podcast

Curated Coincidence is a podcast-format by style in progress. Once a month, we speak with people who inspire us — individuals who open up new perspectives, challenge the status quo, and believe in our credo: the future is wide open. The title plays on the idea that while many things in life appear to happen by chance, there’s often someone behind the scenes creating the conditions for meaningful encounters. This podcast is about those people. It’s about curiosity, exchange, and the art of being in the right place at the right time — sometimes by chance, always with intent.

#05 Building a Brand That Lasts with Rocco Scazzariello

What makes a brand remain relevant across generations? And how can it preserve its traditions without becoming trapped in nostalgia? In the latest episode of Curated Coincidence, Stephan Huber speaks with Rocco Scazzariello, Brand Director of Filson, about the power of heritage, the importance of community, and the responsibility of leading an iconic brand into the future. For nearly 130 years, Filson has stood for functional products developed with a clear purpose in mind. In the conversation, Rocco Scazzariello explains why the brand continues to view its roots in workwear and the outdoors as its guiding compass, why heritage should never mean standing still, and how a brand’s DNA can be continuously reinterpreted without losing its essence. The discussion also explores the role of collaborations as a credible way to evolve a brand, the value of strong retail partnerships, and a community that has accompanied Filson for decades—critical, independent, and deeply passionate at the same time. #04 (EN) Entering the Economy of Trust

There are terms that resonate deeply with many – and yet mean something different to each and every one of us. One of them is realness. Positioned somewhere between associations such as authenticity, substance, and attitude, this construct raises a central question: What does “genuineness” mean in a consumer landscape where algorithms determine assortments, prices are systematically undercut, and platforms like Shein or Temu create structures that stand in absolute contrast to traditional value chains (and values per se)? This is precisely where the new episode of the style in progress podcast format Curated Coincidence begins. Under the title “Entering the Economy of Trust,” Lisa Hollogschwandtner and Stephan Huber discuss the current issue – and realness as an economic approach rather than a moral demand; as an economic model built on trust, reliability, and long-term relationships. Realness is not a counter-concept by principle. It is a construct that reflects the future – because it is built on something that cannot be automated: credibility. Proximity. Attitude.

#04 (DE) Entering the Economy of Trust

Haltung.

#03 How to Win Championships with Henrik Soller and Florian Ranft

A conversation about 25 years of Komet und Helden would not be complete without anecdotes — and rightly so. After all, a great deal has happened over two and a half decades. Stephan Huber sat down with agency founders and owners Henrik Soller and Florian Ranft in Munich for an in-depth conversation. The result is an open and honest exchange about the magic of the early days, legendary trade fair moments, entrepreneurial setbacks, and the realization that giving up was never an option. At its core, the discussion revolves around people’s business: trust, presence, and long-term relationships – and why these factors continue to make the difference today. A personal conversation between long-time companions about entrepreneurship, change, and the conviction that in life, you only win if you stay on the offensive.

#02 How to bring a Mindset to Life with Amy Smilovic and Yasemin Demirci

„People come for the clothes, but they stay for the conversation“, sind die beiden überzeugt. With the aim of creating a space where conversations can unfold as if by chance, we launched our podcast format Curated Coincidence this summer. This time: a coffee in Vienna with Tibi founder Amy Smilovic and Yasemin Demirci, owner of Schneeweiss The Store and operator of Europe’s first Tibi boutique. In a historic Altbau in the heart of Vienna, Amy Smilovic and Yasemin Demirci have created a space that uniquely combines fashion, mindset, and personal encounter. “People come for the clothes, but they stay for the conversation,” they believe. The Tibi Studio is therefore more than a conventional boutique – it is a place of connection, where exchange and depth come first. In conversation with Lisa Hollogschwandtner, the two offer insights into their long-standing creative partnership, which has evolved into a deep friendship. They discuss changing consumer behaviors, their personal definition of “realness,” the concept of Creative Pragmatism, and explore whether the world today could benefit from more of this creatively pragmatic way of thinking.
