Psalm 51: A Heart of True Repentance

A Heart of True Repentance: “Create in Me a Clean Heart” | Psalm 51 What does it truly mean to have a repentant heart? In this episode, we dive into Psalm 51 and explore David’s heartfelt cry for forgiveness, restoration, and renewal after acknowledging his sins before God. Through David’s prayer, we are reminded that true repentance is more than simply saying we are sorry; it is about taking accountability, turning away from sin, and allowing God to transform us from the inside out. Sometimes, we become so focused on our mistakes, guilt, and shortcomings that we forget the beauty of God’s mercy and grace. But Psalm 51 reminds us that God desires a genuine heart that is humble, honest, and willing to be changed. When we pray, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10, KJV), we are inviting God to remove what separates us from Him and restore our hearts to a place of surrender. Join us as we reflect on what it means to pursue genuine repentance, seek God’s forgiveness, and allow the Holy Spirit to renew our hearts and minds. This episode is an invitation to stop running from God in shame and start running toward Him in humility, knowing that His grace is sufficient and His mercy is available to those who sincerely seek Him. Reflection Question: Are you asking God to change your circumstances, or are you also allowing Him to change your heart? Let’s grow together in faith, embrace the process of spiritual transformation, and remember that repentance is not just about turning away from sin; it’s about turning our hearts back toward God. Scripture: Psalm 51:10 Key Takeaway: God isn’t just interested in outward appearances; He desires a heart that is genuinely repentant, surrendered, and willing to be transformed.

Three Cs of Friendship ft Pastor Anthony Hurst Sr.

Welcome to Da P.U.F.F. Project hosted by Nikosha Sholes where we’re praying under a firm foundation. This podcast is dedicated to my young Christians navigating through life while getting to know Christ. This is as real as it gets while keeping God in it. In this episode, I had the honor of sitting down with my dad, Pastor Anthony Hurst Sr., for a powerful conversation about the three Cs of friendship. Part 1: Constituents Not everyone who walks alongside you is necessarily walking with you. Some people are connected to you because they are pursuing the same goal, vision, opportunity, or purpose—but that doesn’t always mean they are truly invested in you. We dive into what constituents are, how to recognize these types of relationships, and why understanding the different levels of friendship is so important for protecting your heart, setting healthy boundaries, and discerning who God has truly placed in your life. This conversation is a reminder that proximity does not always equal friendship, and partnership does not always equal loyalty. Join us as we unpack the first of the 3 C’s of Friendship: Constituents. Tune in, take notes, and ask yourself: “Are the people around me connected to ME, or simply connected to what I’m connected to?” Thank you for tuning in! Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe. Come Anyway

Welcome to Da P.U.F.F. Project hosted by Nikosha Sholes where we’re praying under a firm foundation. This podcast is dedicated to my young Christians navigating through life while getting to know Christ. This is as real as it gets while keeping God in it. What do you do when your faith feels uncertain? When the questions won’t stop and the doubts get loud? In this episode, we’re talking honestly about what it means to trust Christ even in the middle of uncertainty. Instead of hiding our questions or feeling ashamed of our doubts, we explore how bringing them directly to Him can actually deepen our relationship with Him—not weaken it. If you’ve ever felt like you’re struggling to believe, wondering if God hears you, or afraid that your doubts disqualify you… this conversation is for you. You’ll be reminded that faith isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about choosing to stay connected to Christ, even when you don’t understand. Come as you are. Bring your questions. Bring your doubts. And discover how trust can grow right in the middle of it all. Thank you for tuning in! Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe. Staying Faithful In Those Quiet Moments

Welcome to Da P.U.F.F. Project hosted by Nikosha Sholes where we’re praying under a firm foundation. This podcast is dedicated to my young Christians navigating through life while getting to know Christ. This is as real as it gets while keeping God in it. In this episode, we dive into what it really means to keep your faith in the quiet moments—those seasons when you don’t hear the Holy Spirit as clearly and begin to question where God is. If you’ve ever felt distant, uncertain, or anxious in your relationship with Christ, this conversation is for you. We talk honestly about spiritual silence and how it doesn’t mean God has left—it often means He’s working in ways we can’t yet see. You’ll be encouraged to trust beyond your feelings, lean into faith over fear, and recognize that God’s presence isn’t limited to what you hear, but also in what He’s already spoken. This episode also unpacks the anxiety that can creep into your walk with Christ—the pressure to “get it right,” to hear Him perfectly, or to feel constant closeness—and replaces it with truth, peace, and reassurance rooted in His promises. If you’re in a quiet season, this is your reminder: God is still there, still speaking, and still holding you steady. Don’t lose your faith in the silence—sometimes, that’s where it grows the most. Stop Leaning On Your Own Understanding

Welcome to Da P.U.F.F. Project hosted by Nikosha Sholes where we’re praying under a firm foundation. This podcast is dedicated to my young Christians navigating through life while getting to know Christ. This is as real as it gets while keeping God in it. In this week’s episode, I open up about what it really means to not lean on your own understanding and instead fully trust God—even when it doesn’t make sense. We all face moments where logic, emotions, and past experiences try to take the lead, but what happens when God asks us to surrender control? I share personal reflections on choosing faith over fear, releasing the need to have all the answers, and trusting that God’s plan is greater than anything we could figure out on our own. If you’ve ever struggled with doubt, overthinking, or trying to “figure it all out” by yourself, this episode is for you. Let’s talk about what it looks like to truly let go, trust deeper, and walk by faith—even in the unknown. Thank you for tuning in! Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe.
