🥃 DadDimes on the Rocks — Season 7, Episode 4: Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This week on DadDimes on the Rocks, we’re pouring a bourbon that proves you don’t always need a big-name bottle or a hefty price tag to bring serious character to the glass — Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey. There’s a reason the Bottled-in-Bond designation has become such an important part of bourbon history. It represents a commitment to a specific distilling season, one distiller and distillery, at least four years of aging, and a bottled-at-100-proof presentation. With Evan Williams, that tradition meets one of Kentucky’s most recognizable bourbon names. Pour it into the glass and the nose immediately brings classic bourbon notes — caramel, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, and a touch of baking spice. There’s a warmth here that lets you know this isn't a timid pour. Take the first sip and the 100-proof strength makes its presence known without overwhelming the palate. Sweet caramel and vanilla arrive first, followed by toasted oak, cinnamon, and a subtle peppery spice. The deeper the sip, the more that traditional Kentucky bourbon character begins to show. The mid-palate brings a satisfying combination of brown sugar, charred oak, light fruit, and baking spices. There’s enough proof to give the whiskey some backbone while still allowing the sweeter bourbon notes to shine. Then comes the finish — warm, spicy, and lingering. Oak and cinnamon stay behind with a final touch of caramel and vanilla. It's the kind of finish that makes you pause for a second before reaching back for the glass. At the DadDimes table, this is a bottle that creates a conversation about value, tradition, and what makes a bourbon dependable. Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond doesn't need to rely on hype. It brings a recognizable Kentucky bourbon profile, solid proof, and a style that works whether you're enjoying it neat, on the rocks, or mixing it into a classic cocktail. Sometimes the best bottles aren't the ones everybody is fighting to find. Sometimes they're the ones that are simply good bourbon at the right time and the right price. So grab a glass, settle in, and join us for another pour on DadDimes on the Rocks. 🥃 Good whiskey. Good stories. Great company. Cheers to another bottle and another DadDimes conversation! #DadDimesOnTheRocks #DadDimes #EvanWilliams #EvanWilliamsBourbon #EvanWilliamsBottledInBond #BottledInBond #Bourbon #BourbonWhiskey #StraightBourbon #KentuckyBourbon #KentuckyWhiskey #BourbonReview #WhiskeyReview #BourbonLovers #WhiskeyLovers #AmericanWhiskey #100Proof #BourbonLife #WhiskeyCommunity #SipSlow #Cheers

🥃 DadDimes on the Rocks — Season 7, Episode 3: Ezra Brooks Bourbon Whiskey Sour Mash

This week on DadDimes on the Rocks, we’re going back to the roots with a bourbon that brings old-school Kentucky character to the glass — Ezra Brooks Bourbon Whiskey Sour Mash. There’s something about a classic bourbon that doesn’t need to make a lot of noise. No fancy gimmicks, no chasing the latest trend — just whiskey, oak, and time coming together to create a pour that feels right at home on the DadDimes table. The first pour brings familiar bourbon aromas of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and sweet corn, with a touch of baking spice underneath. It’s inviting and straightforward, setting the stage for what’s to come. On the palate, Ezra Brooks brings that classic bourbon combination of brown sugar sweetness, vanilla, caramel, and oak, followed by a gentle peppery spice. The sour mash process adds another layer to the story, connecting this modern bottle to a traditional Kentucky whiskey-making technique. The sip is approachable and easygoing, making this the kind of bourbon that works equally well for a relaxed pour after a long day or as the foundation for a classic cocktail. As the whiskey moves toward the finish, the oak and spice become more noticeable. There’s a lingering touch of vanilla and caramel, followed by a warm Kentucky bourbon finish that invites you right back for another sip. At the DadDimes table, this bottle is a reminder that bourbon doesn't always have to be rare, expensive, or highly allocated to make for a good whiskey experience. Sometimes, the fun is discovering the character in a bottle that simply delivers a classic bourbon profile without asking for all the attention. So pour yourself a glass, settle in, and join us as we raise another one on DadDimes on the Rocks. Good whiskey. Good stories. Great company. 🥃 Cheers to the pour — and to the next bottle! #DadDimesOnTheRocks #DadDimes #EzraBrooks #EzraBrooksBourbon #Bourbon #BourbonWhiskey #KentuckyBourbon #SourMash #StraightBourbon #WhiskeyReview #BourbonReview #WhiskeyLovers #BourbonLovers #AmericanWhiskey #KentuckyWhiskey #DrinkBourbon #BourbonLife #WhiskeyCommunity #SipSlow #Cheers

🥃 DadDimes on the Rocks — Season 7, Episode 2: 2026 High West Bourbon Review

On this episode of DadDimes on the Rocks, we head west for a bourbon that brings a little Utah character to the American whiskey conversation — 2026 High West Bourbon. Known for its adventurous approach to blending and its connection to the American West, High West has built a reputation for creating whiskey with personality, and this pour gives us another opportunity to see what happens when tradition meets a modern Western attitude. From the first pour, the nose opens with classic bourbon aromas of caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, and toasted oak. As the whiskey rests in the glass, hints of dried fruit, baking spice, cinnamon, and sweet grain begin to emerge, creating an inviting profile that balances familiar bourbon notes with a distinctive Western character. The palate starts with rich caramel and vanilla before moving into layers of toffee, honey, dark fruit, and toasted oak. Cinnamon and baking spices add a gentle kick, while subtle notes of roasted nuts and brown sugar bring additional depth. There's a satisfying balance between sweetness, spice, and oak that makes this bourbon approachable while still giving whiskey enthusiasts plenty to explore. As the sip develops, the whiskey reveals more of its character — a combination of warm spice, vanilla, caramelized sugar, and seasoned oak that builds toward a pleasantly warming finish. It's a bourbon that encourages you to slow down, take another sip, and see what shows up next. The finish is smooth and lingering, leaving behind notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, and baking spice with a gentle warmth that keeps the conversation going. Throughout the episode, we explore High West's role in the American whiskey landscape, discuss what makes Western whiskey different, and examine how blending and maturation contribute to the final profile. We also break down flavor, value, versatility, and whether the 2026 High West Bourbon deserves a permanent spot on the DadDimes shelf. Pour yourself a glass and join DadDimes as we take a trip out West without ever leaving the whiskey glass. Because at DadDimes on the Rocks, every bottle has a story — and sometimes the best stories come from unexpected places. #DadDimesOnTheRocks #HighWest #HighWestBourbon #HighWest2026 #BourbonPodcast #WhiskeyReview #UtahWhiskey #AmericanWhiskey #StraightBourbon #BourbonLife #WhiskeyCommunity #WesternWhiskey #CraftWhiskey #BourbonLovers #DrinkResponsibly
