"I'll take it off ya... I'll take it back"

On this episode we welcome our newest dad to date, David. We talk about the joys of early fatherhood, how David balanced unpredictable work with a due date looming, pets vs kids and late night improv! Talking about dad stuff got in the way of talking about podcasts, film and tv shows. Begrudgingly, I used the edit to keep us on the matter at hand. "Built like a brick toilet"

On this episode we welcome our most experienced dad to date, my father-in-law, John. 5 children from 2 marriages and now a whole host of grandchildren, John has remained strong and stoic for everyone around him. For the curious, you may notice John has a speech impediment, but don't let that fool you, John's as sharp as a tack with a wealth of life experience to boot! I struck gold for in-laws and I am incredibly grateful that he was willing to come on and share his wise ways. "Being silly is the most rewarding thing"

Simon was incredibly open and shared his experience of postnatal depression. This sounds sad, it wasn't. Listen in and have a chuckle! "They walked in and saw me caked in blood"

Everybody needs good neighbours! Luckily, I have great neighbours, and my next door neighbour, Paul, was willing to give us his insights on fatherhood so far. We nattered for nearly 2 hours, so it was really tough getting this down to under an hour. Get ready for some solid sarcasm, dad jokes and a visit from social services. "I managed to lock her in the car"

Better L8 than never!!! This episode was really tough to edit, as the conversation came easy and we covered a lot of ground. The end result is an episode much longer than usual, so get it on and get about your day. We discuss renting a SNES, YouTube and corporal punishment. "Apparently they can swim if you throw them in a swimming pool"

Another family member joins the podcast! This time they are much further in to fatherhood, and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Meet my step something in law, twice removed, 3rd in line to the thrown, cousin's dog's owner. I jest. Meet Martin. Apologies for the low hum feedback in this episode, I believe this was caused by my charging cable to the MacBook.
