[…] It seemed like in the past that a sprint car driver winning 20 or more races in a year was fairly common, especially when Schatz was just absolutely cleaning up. But since Schatz last did it in 2018, this is only the third time we've seen a driver go past 20 wins in a year. Anthony Macri did it in 2022, and Kyle Larson had 32 during that insane 2020 season. It feels like we've kind of reached a point where a driver winning this much is likely only possible for guys like Dietz or Macri that run regionally. There are just too many guys now on tours that can win to see someone do it with High Limit or the Outlaws. […]
