Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 7, 2026

In this Daily Devotion for October 7, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 84:7-9, a pilgrim journey that goes from strength to strength, heading toward God Himself, with a direct plea for the Lord to look favorably on His anointed, the king who represented the whole people before Him. This devotion follows that title, anointed, forward to the true Anointed One, Jesus Christ, the shield for God's people, the face God looks upon with full favor, a favor that reaches us through Him. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, secured through His finished work rather than our own strength. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper that same shield and favor are given to us again, His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. You are on a pilgrim road too, some days feeling strong, other days barely able to take the next step. Keep praying honestly, and remember your shield has already been provided. Jesus stands between you and every danger, carrying you from strength to strength. Subscribe for weekly sermons and Daily Devotions. Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 6, 2026

In this Daily Devotion for October 6, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 84:4-6, blessing those whose strength is in God, pilgrims walking through the dry Valley of Baca who transform it into a place of springs, not by their own effort, but because of who walks with them. This devotion follows that road to Jesus, who walked through the hardest valley of all, the valley of death itself, and turned it into a spring of life for everyone who trusts in Him. Because He walked through first, you do not walk through your own valley alone. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, given as strength we could never produce ourselves. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper He refreshes pilgrims on that road again, giving His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. Whatever dry, weeping ground you are walking through right now, your strength was never meant to come from yourself. Keep walking, keep your heart set on where you are headed, and trust that even that ground can become a place of springs when your strength is in Him. Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 5, 2026

In this Daily Devotion for October 5, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 84:1-3, a deep longing for God's dwelling place, so strong the writer's soul faints for it. Even sparrows find a home near the altar, a picture of God's presence as close, safe, and worth building a life near. This devotion carries that longing to something even greater than the altar. You have Christ Himself, present for you at His own Table, offering His true body and blood, not a symbol but His real presence given for the forgiveness of sins. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, freely given through His finished work. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper that same nearness this psalm longs for is placed into your hands. Do not let that longing fade over time. Come back to it again and again, the way a sparrow returns to her nest, to the true and lasting dwelling place God has given you in Christ. Subscribe for weekly sermons and Daily Devotions.
