About Daily Matins and Vespers of the Orthodox Church
Welcome to Daily Orthodox Matins and Vespers in a shorter form, for personal and family prayer. Matins and Vespers are the two main Hours of prayer in the daily liturgical cycle of the Orthodox Church, as set forth in the Horologion (The Book of Hours). They are served daily in monasteries and regularly in local church practise. This podcast provides them in an audio format that supports their daily observance. The daily cycle consists of eight Hours of prayer throughout the day and night. See the podcast DAILY HOURS OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH to hear the other liturgical Hours.
